I am not sure if this is condsidered a Disney "classic" but remember Super Mario Bros.? They used to play it on the old disney channel. It was about Mario and Luigi going to DinoHatten, and other stuff. I can't really remember the movie that well, but I found some pictures. I watched that movie whenever I could. It was when Disney Channel still had the ear in the corner that said " Original Movie." But yeah, it was a WHILE ago.

For it's day SMB was a rather entertaining movie, but I think the actors made it a wee bit bad. Bob Hoskins did make a rather entertaining Mario, but after that point it made no sense whatsoever.

I mean, people who have played Mario games and seen this film will most probably tell you that the way Yoshi was made in it was nothing like he should be. The Yoshi in this film was kinda like a Jurassic Park reject, but yet the Yoshi in the games is a cute lil creature who you just wanna take home.
Thankfully, there was no mention of Wario in this film, or anything like that. I believe Bowser was actually named King Koopa as well, and about 10% of the film made sense...the rest was just "Throw in as many things from Mario as you can and hope the audience buys it."

Good for it's time...but a few years down the line and it's nothing special at all.

I know what you mean about yoshi looking weird. In the games he has a long tongue and can be like green, and red, and blue. But he just looks plain crazy! And besides, Daisy was in that movie not Peach. Peach is the damsel-in-distress for Mario, And Daisy for Luigi! But thats how old games were too.

yes, they make yoshi stupid, he has a long tongue, but thats about it, evil ppl who made this movie probably didn't play super mario rpg - Legend of the seven stars. Yoshi is billingual, it speaks english and yoshi! Gosh, if you're going to make a movie, get it right!

It was a movie... loosely based on the video game series.. There were many facts that were wrong, and thats why a sequel never appeared...

It was a first of it's kind though, being the first movie based on a video game.

Alright, i rented the movie from blockbuster online, and its AWESOMe. I dont care what you people say about it being very poor, i hope i get to see it again.

I remembered renting this movie one time. It was SO cheap & definately didn't do a lot of the game justice (Bad bowser/yoshi, Princess Daisy instead of Peach, Bomb-ombs wearing Nikes, No Mushroom Kingdom) so I was kinda disappointed.
