The new disney channel movie that is coming out is called "Read it and Weep It" ( i think thats what its called ) any ways the movie is based upon a book and i dont see in any of the commercials on disney giving credit to the author who came up with this story . Just by changing the title and tweaking a few things in the movie does not make the movie disneys idea . I hope that when i see this movie on Disney Channel they will give credit to the author somewhere in there. If not that would be wrong @_@ !!

If Disney were to pay the author of the book to use the plot in a movie. They do not have to mention it is a book. They could if they wanted, but they wouldn't have to.

if disney IS making a movie from a book that sombody else wrote they need to make some deal with the author, if the book is copywrited ( wich im sure it is ) they cant steal the idea and get full credit for it if they didnt even make it themselves ( wich they didnt )

I'm sure Disney has already discussed this with the author. They couldnt even start filming the movie with out her primission, but I know after time they allow other people to use her ideas. For instince, alot of songs you hear today were sung in the 80's but people remix them today.
