ok the reasons we cant have weather are because people would be like "i got hit by lighting! save me!" or "my stuff floated away in the flood please give me stuff" and all that stuff. it would bring up this entire mess.

i can imagine people opening doctors and people coming in saying "help im sick! i was in the rain!" and "help...i got hit by... lighting...save...me" and all that junk.

people would also by like "save the children!" (i kinda laughed when i imagine virtual characters doing this) and "(cries) mummy i lost my puppy in the tornado :( " and all that stuff.


also if you want pets, still not gonna happen.
here is the reason, most of us would want a dog or cat but people would start dog fights and sya "my dog bit you! ha ha!" and "(cats takes (playername) fish!)" and all that junk.

they would have petting zoo's gone bad (lol) and if pets were aviable some (horrible) people would abuse them and not take care of them.

SOrry but I really dont think VMK would put Lighting in vmk or Tornado, I think they would only make it sunny and rainy.

yes i dont see them really putting a tornado or major flood or anything but still even if it was just rain, people have BIG imaginations.

Tornados: people will be saying Please give me free stuff my doggy got flushed in the potty.

I think it would be a bad idea to have pets, too. Like you said, some people would abuse them, note ever feed them, etc.

Pets on VMK, seems like an OK idea. But since VMK is an online game all around the country..uh why the weather will be DIFFERENT. And wouldnt it just be fine if it went from day to night due to peoples time changes?

Why would VMK alow dogfights anyways? I bet if we had pets they would only be allowed in out rooms. Also VMK already has pretend doctors. Weather would be pretty cool in VMK they could make it sunny, rainy, windy and all that good stuff. I would be pretty cool if they would make it get dark at VMK as the day went on like it was real. I don't think people would be stupid enough to hand over their stuff who said there stuff was taken by a virtual tornado.

I could just see myself floating down mainstreet <3 LOL...anyway, I guess your right. But making pets would be like making whole new people, they'd have to walk, speak, eat maybe, it's take AGES. And with the weather they'dh ave to make the lands over editing the skies and stuff, it would take a lot of work. XD

Well hmm actually it would be cool you know day and night and maybe dusk and all that.... anyways for the weather if they had it they would not do tornadoes or hurricanes or lightning strikes more like cloudy days, rainy days, snowy, and sunny days of course..Which is better but if they had the violent weather it wouldn't be so great., but that would take a while seeing it would take long for the graphics.. The pets maybe but nothing like you know pet idk cheetahs lol which would be odd.. o_O the pet idea would be ok for us so we are not as bored and we always have a pet to play with!

Weather:

Many people are in different places around the world. So if the VMK sun was up at 7am PST, then people in EST would be a bit ahead, then those in Europe, even further ahead. Know what I mean? Besides, there are already weather effects in many of the rooms, they just don't monopolize the screen like actual rain or snow would.


Pets:

Does the real Magic Kingdom allow you to bring in animals through it?
I think if they allowed pets, it might give the wrong impression for those visiting the parks.

I think the actual reason for no weather or pets would be simply because it would put a strain on VMK. It would consume too much bandwidth and be too hard to implement. Imagine having to make it so the dogs would have the artificial intelligence to follow you around and not to mention how many more times people would be disconnected from VMK. I know that VMK will never have pets or weather simply because it is isn't necessary.

I don't feel the need for either pets or weather... but I would like to see day and night. Wouldn't it be cool to have a nighttime version of VMK?

Edited to add: "the ppl who live in a different country have a different day and night" -- it doesn't matter, though. VMK already keeps hours that are tied to the US hours. So unless they are operating 24 hours a day, why not have day and night that goes with the hours the park is open?

i think that it will also cause to many bugs that will take almost every top of the line computer to get rid of and everyone would crash or dc like every ten minutes.. i get dc every 30 thats why i really dont like playing anymore but i do! lol i play every single day and with a count for my computer from 9:30am - 12:00am = 30dc's for me

I dont think none of us would have pets in vmk only the guests that do the t*ken thing ( i do not like to say that word that begins with you know ) it might just be the same as the t*ken thing lame and annoying LOL.

1. Pets are a big no anyway. Disney Parks worldwide do not allow pets inside, to the best of my knowledge. So since this is a Disney themed place, taking ideas from the parks, why have pets?

2. Weather could be done, but not extreme weather. And it wouldn't have to be "all over the park there is rain" like in RL. I'm on another site, and the way they handle weather is by making it change and stay the same in certain areas.

What I mean is, taking a VMK slant on it, the Mansion Lobby could have a thunderstorm in the background..nothing special, just that sort of thing. There'd be no need for "tornados" or "floods" as I read up there somewhere. All we'd need to substitute weather into the game is weather theming for the rooms. The real HM has Thunderstorms in the windows, so why not in that guest room's background. Pirates has a "hurricane" in the grotto, so why not a wee bit of rain in the background of the lobby.

Think about it, it is a possibility that we could include weather into VMK but nothing extreme, and not parkwide weather. The main types would be sun and rain, but the rooms that had those weather types would be the same ones every day.

I don't know if I explained it that well, but it's rather an odd concept to grasp. Just saying, it could be done, but wouldn't be as bad as we all think.

Here's my opionon on pets and weather.

1. It would probably be harder than you think to put up a whole new setting every day. Remember halloween?It took them a very long time to put it down. And VMK would probably have to be closed a lot of hours every day to update each public room to be "nightish". Weather would be kind of nice, but that would aso be pretty hard too. And, let not forget, the first week or so the new night and day thing would be pretty cool, but after awhile it really wont be anything exciting. That's just what I think.

2. I think pets might be a good idea, I mean everybody would love to make their dog or cat or whatever you have on VMK. It would be a alot more fun, and maybe VMK could let you soemhow train your dog and let you buy dog stuff. Myabe even create a new minigame that you could play with your pet! But some people might sprinkle a little bit of animal abuse out there (example: My dog bites me so I hit him a lot. My puppy is bad so Im putting him in a box.). Pets have its ups and downs.

vmk would never put storms or disasters on the site, what amusement park would want to be asssociated to any thing negative like that. when you think of vmk and disney that want you to think of positive and happy things.

I think they should put some raininy days and some sunny days. That would be wicked except they probably would need a bigger server. Which would cause less DC.

As for pets i don't really want to have those in VMK. Because people will try to buy as many as they can and have 30 cats walking around with them. This is supposed to be about a virtual magic kingdom. And the last time i checked None of the Disney Parks allowed pets in except Seeing eye dogs.

I agree the idea of as the time continues to night it actually gets dark that would be pretty awesome. They could possibly even add a main street ghost lol. and some srteet lights

VMK should add day and night feature and have weather. It can be the same weather as DLR. But with the pets, I'm against it all the way. Babies would go like I want a puppy or cat. I hate that stuff. But with the VMK weather, it would be good.

um well we probly could have pets they just cant let us say hit and bit and mummy i think thats rediculois if we can say hit but we cant say coming that just ticks me off so nothing is wrong with pets really and raining i doubt ppl will really say im sick

There's no reason they would have to shut vmk down for hours every day to make the day/night switchover. It's just a different graphic file that would have to load. They could make it so every time you enter a room after, say, 7pm, you would get the nighttime graphics instead of the day graphics. No big technical deal. They would just have to create the art once.

But just think, VMK added the swimming pool. I've seen people pretend to be sharks and try to eat people, pretend they can't swim, and try to push peoples heads down under the water and drown them.

So that is pretend. Nothing really bad about it.

People can pretend bad stuff in any scenario, I think. I don't think avoiding adding new stuff just because people will find a way to be lame with it is the best idea.
