Sorry for the double post, but what you said is true. All they want is attention! And they sure do get it by alot. What I just said in my above post is what a guest said while me and BBallman were playing haunted mansion and I was looking at the chat logs and it was true.

Okay, my friend who is as old as me asked me if I wanted to play "house", I thought we had out grown that! Anyway, yes it is wrong even if staff say it's not!

Banning people who do "taken" would take away 1/2 of the VMK population. Bottom line.

They couldn't afford to ban 1/2 of the population of VMK. VMK is truly an advertise, hidden within a (fun) game. The whole point in VMK is to get kids to beg their parents to spend their well-earned money at a Disney theme park, so that that kid can recieve special VMK furniture, clothes, etc.

I bet it would be interesting to know how much money Disney has made off of VMK advertisement. ;)

When I was walking down some girl started blabbing 'Oh there goes another ranch hand', 'ranch hands aren't fair to other players', etc. I don't know if she was talking to me or not but I wanted to know if anybody else knows about it.

A ranch hand is someone who basically helps out on a ranch, like a farm or something. Sometiems they are hired to help for money.

Maybe "ranch" is someone user name and they are mad at ranch or something

i find it ok because all it is little kids playing house. but when they see rooms called anti taken club and stop babys they now it annoys us so then (because they are like 4-6) they do that more to annoy us and have fun.

if we just drop the topic maybe they will get tired of it and stop.

i knew a couple of people who did that whole doctor thing (not the ok gives band aid and all that it was the horrible doctor stuff) i came in to say hi and ugh it was horrible, i made a big deal about how it isnt good and all and she didnt listen and did it 24/7 then i said you know i made a huge deal about it and its nothing big and she stopped.

i figure if we stop making a huge deal out of it it will make the taken population go down. because half of them do that just to annoy us and test us to the point where were insane.

I also think vmk is the wrong place for this. I have a friend in real life on vmk. Everytime I see her in vmk I don't know what she is going to say, It's either, I am so sad. My boyfriend broke up with me. or I am so happy. I have a new boy. He's so sweet. I'm like yeah, yeah. I know the next time I see her she's going to tell me he broke up with her and she doesn't know why. Don't get me wrong. She's a nice girl and all but she drives me crazy with her boyfriend tales. I like to come on vmk, make friends and have fun. I had a boy that followed me around today asking me if I was taken and all. Everytime I turned around there he was. I finally left and took him off my list. He kind of scared me. VMK is a place to have a good time. Not a place to feel scared. My gosh, I have enough problems in real life as it is. I want to get away from those problems and VMK is my hideaway. Angel Fancy :wave2:

Yeah, maybe everyone cannot walk around VMK saying "dont do taken", but i can have a word with sulake.

Taken is not against to rules sometimes it is fun feeling virtual love in the air.

[What follows is an unbiased reply on "Taken". The writer dislikes the idea, but in this post, he is willing to look at the other side so that this whole taken arguement that has been going on for the last year or so can be toned down a bit]

"Taken" and everything has been going on for almost as long as VMK has. So has the wole "Cute or Boot" and all these dare I say "Shallow" activities.

I've never gone in with the taken thing, but it is true that over 1/2 the VMK population do actually like the taken idea. If you don't like it, don't fret. I "wasted" a good week or two of being a CL back in December telling people that taken is "wrong" because of the age rating on the game, but they didn't care. [Co-incidentally, I lost my CL-ship after being inactive during a month when I was revising for exams, rather than being online, but that's offtopic.]

People know that VMK is designed for people aged 14 and younger, but there are people on VMK in their 20s and above. It's Disney. It's going to attract older people too, and frankly, if VMK is trying to be exactly like a virtual disneyland, then it's going in the right way. I mean, DL-Security don't rush up to couples in park and say "Excuse me, can you take that out to the parking lot. We don't allow this sort of thing here".

People are just trying to live what they see as Disney in RL. Disney is a "family" place, so people are turning round and saying to themselves: "Wait, VMK is like the real Disney..." and are making their own "families". Travelling a Disney park alone is fun, since that's how I do it on some vacations, but it's more fun when you do it in a group of people. The people who do all this "taken" and such are probably just trying to make their VMK experience more like the experiences they have had in Disney parks, being with close friends and family.

To be quite frank, VMK can leave "taken" as it is. It's drawing people in, it's not pushing people away. So long as they keep the Dictionary there, it means nothing worse can really happen in VMK involving "taken". People can't hand out email addresses, they can't give out phone numbers, they can't say which state or country they are in, and they can't give away a home address. People can't, technically, track you down from VMK without any of that information so, technically, VMK's "taken" fad is pretty much a safe way of meeting new friends, and hanging out with them more.

What I mean by that is, I have a good few friends on VMK, but I've only ever talked to about 5 at most in the whole time I have been there. So, this whole taken thing means you keep in touch with the other person by VMK messaging or playing games together.

Basically, you can't complain about "taken" because although on the surface it seems like it's full of bad points, when you look at the other angles, it does contain good points as well.

You could talk to Sulake, or contact the hosts about it, but seriously, if they banned everyone who has EVER done "taken", there'd be about 1000 people left on VMK and it'd be pretty boring walking an empty site.
