i thought you had to put the titles of your rooms? yet i dont see that in the rules to register on the registration form.

i know i dont know if i put both if they will reject me or if i should just put exactly what the form says this is what i have tell me what you think..

For the Everest competition you had to put the room names, but I guess they do not need that anymore because it is rather useless.

It's safer to provide the room names after the number. This information was required for the previous event and is also required for this one, as the newsletter states. I just registered my team and included the room titles as a safety measure.

i put just the #'s

but after i posted everything, i put a little "note" for staff, saying something like: first 200 teams entered correctly are in, but there are 2 ways to enter ( i then stated the 2 ways, putting just the room #'s or putting the room names). so hopefully my team wont be out of competition cause i registered like it said above in the "rule reminders," etc.

Notice you found that under the help tool? I really don't think that is an actual registration form.

um, no thats how they did it last time. When you do "Contact Us," you click on the waterslide thing


keep in mind that the time zones are different, that's the reason some ppl can already register and some cant

I put the members of the team, then the total # of rooms, then put the title of each of the rooms. It didn't say to put the people's names by the rooms.

They want everything to be in the order in which they ask, and you have to give the members names and room names in SEPERATE statements.

That wasn't there when I entered :(. They just wanted the number of rooms.

EDIT: My team got accepted, so it dosen't matter.

I signed up ten minutes after midnight, when the form came out in contact us. I had the message on VMK as soon as VMK opened today.

Gatorgreen I signed up my team at 10:11 or something close or it.. I havn't gotton a response yet.. Should I worry? I am getting worried that I mis-spelled someone's name by one letter.. and if I did would VMK cut me some slack or let me re-do the registration you think?

Don't worry, they will send you a message soon in VMK. If you spelled a name wrong, they will find the right one because they click the "i" every time they go into a room on the competition.

Thanks! Now I won't worry anymore! the only thing I worried about was spelling this one guy's name wrong because it was sooo long and also I was a little worried that put in Someone's VMKF name instead of VMK name but I am pretty sure I didn't since I got people to check over it all for me :)

Also if you do spell a name or something wrong that would be an error and you would be rejected. I guess they send it differently for everyone. I was one of the first to sign up, so maybe they only sent VMK messages to a few.

Well I sent in my registration ten minutes after the form came out, so I got it a lot quicker. I had it the as soon as VMK opened the next day after I registered.

EDIT: I got my message in VMK.

EDIT: I have not recieved an e-mail, just the message in VMK.

I sent mine in 1:00am PDT. I tried about 12:30am and it wouldn't let me access the contact page. I heard there was an addition to the original message that added "list the rooms". That may have been when I hit it at 12:30am.

I received my confirmation email (the email address I had provided) around 3:00 PDT on Monday. I can post the email here if you want to see it. It gives you the rules and regulations again plus some additional information. Funny thing was it gave you the dates of the judging as the everest ride days. Everything else in the message was the slide event. :)

I wouldn't be too worried. My other friends had all registered Monday morning about time VMK opened, and none of them have heard anything. If you read the message they had in place you registered, it says you should know either way by Jul 28th. Just make sure you don't have an AOL email it said or you couldn't use a child's account (where the parent has to do it).

Staff is having to go through and validate all your team members titles so it will take a while.

I think if you set the junk mail filter to allow the VMK e-mail address, you can recieve the e-mail. I'm not sure though because I use MSN.

Well, I just registered again and used my Yahoo email address. I think you can register twice because last event I tried doing that and they still accepted it.

I got my message in VMK for some strange reason. It seems like everyone else is getting theirs through an e-mail.

I haven't recieved mine though E-Mail or VMK yet for some reason my team-mate got a message on VMK

Well I am worried now because everybody seemed to send in their forms early on the 10th. I thought it would be there when VMK opened, so I waited and got all of the information then. I guess I will know for the next event if we are not accepted now, but I feel bad for my teammates.
I guess I will know for sure by the 28th of July.
