In case anyone had a little trouble like I did at first getting the last part of the ship and the bonus part ( the mast), here is a little tip for you that I found works. When you see the Kraken approaching and you are close to the doom idol, hit it with the cannons like 6 times. After that run into the doom idol and hit the Kraken again with a cannon. Just make sure the Kraken is not extremely close to you when you hit the idol or he will get you ;) Hopefully this will help some of you. Hope this was not posted before..I apologize if it was :)

i was playing level three about 20 times and the kraken would jump out in front of me!!! then finally it just froze in the middle of the water... everything else worked however which let me get the tikis while the frozen kraken was in the middle. Im not sure why this happened but it was good 4 me bc i got my codes!

Levels 1 and 2 aren't too difficult. Within a few tries anyone should
be able to get past those. I finally beat Level Three. It is tricky,
but it can be done. Here are some hints:

The Kraken can be made to submit:
Shoot the Kraken 6 times and he'll go back underwater.

Wiggle:
In open water when the Kraken is out of sight don't travel in a
straight line, wiggle around a little. This seems to lessen the chance
of him appearing directly in front of you.

Watch for Kraken Sign!
Just before the Kraken starts to rise there is a shadow in the
water. If you can't steer around and begin to drag him (see below)
start shooting right away. It's possible you can shoot him down before
he fully rises or you touch him.

Drag your Pet Kraken:
If you get the Kraken behind you, keep him there! Know thy enemy!
If the Kraken is behind you he can't pop up in surprise under or in
front of you. Let him stay close. Keep him about a ship-length away,
don't out run him. Keep your speed at about 2 triangles on your speed
meter, with bursts to 3 triangles as you turn and he gets too close.
Also be careful going around islands, he will disappear if you get too
close, and you don't want that.
Keep your pet behind you until you get close to an idol and then
shoot the Kraken to make him go away and use that time to activate the
idol.
Let another Kraken pop up and start dragging him before you approach
your next idol.

Idol Angle:
Try not to approach the Idol straight on. About a 45% angle seems
to work best for me until it shoots it's fireballs. This allows you a
better chance to dodge. Also when you hit the Idol to activate do so at
an angle. This decreases your time to get to full speed.

Even with the above tips it's difficult. Remember your training and
you will survive! haha

Does it bother anybody else that even though we get both the starboard and port pieces for stages one and two of the game, stage three only gives us one side piece? I mean, I know we get the mast, too, but in order to make a complete ship, we have to win stage three twice, and then we end up with extra pieces from stages one and two. Stage three should give two side pieces!
