To help Nick out a little, I've created this thread so that we may post current game issues with the arcade. Then, all he can do is check this thread and find the problems that need to be fixed with the games themselves instead of trying to go through each, one by one.


Issues found so far:

Conquer Antartica - Records single level score, not the total score
Drag & Drop - Timed game, scores are backward (fixed)
Hovercraft Racing – Timed game, scores are backward
Speed Racer - Records the timed score, not the final score with the bonus.
Island Offroad - Backwards Scoring Order
Puzzled Sheep - "Completely spazes out when you finish up a game.. " -- Schmoofy; BusterBunny has also reported similar problems.
Ghost Hunter - Two different games, same name. (one is whacking ghosts, the other is thinking and capturing ghosts -SweepHunter)
Flash Golf - Backwards Scoring.
Micro Machines - Go too fast you end up getting stuck in the middle of the track
Mudballs - Freezes at level 16



** Any game with a "Play Again" or "Try Again" button in-game, will record your score as 0 if you use that button. **

I know about Antartica.. bad game score but fun. and the other two ive played and again the scores are backward.

Drag & Drop definately has a problem... I've been just letting it stay up and doing other things while that little timer just ticks away. :D

Puzzled Sheep freezes up after you finish it and if you click continue it finally goes to score page but it shows you have zero point. I got so far to!

Puzzled Sheep is a "-free game-" which means scores won't be recorded. There are a couple of these in the arcade. Maybe a list is in order?

I just played the word game with EIGHT in the title. It took me for ever to come in second to Princess Anne who spend 37 minutes on the game. Wait there is someone who beats her by a few points in 6 minutes, no way can someone get that high of score in 6 minutes.

If you go to play a game and in the info box on the right that tells about what keys to use, and it says "-free game-" that means the score will not be submitted and will be recorded as 0. I'm not exactly sure why, but it could have something to do with exporting the score and its support with this site.

I think Nick did describe the differences about those two scores. One is the best score in a tourney and the other is the best score of all time duing regular game play. I'm not too sure how the time thing works. There have been a couple games where I spent much longer than the time displayed afterward.

Duck Hunter allows a person to leave the computer running while a machine gun blasts away at the dog. This takes away from the high scores of people who play the regular game. Anyone could sit there for hours then have the family play and leave the game running for weeks to get a billion point in the "Murder the Dog" version. That is rather sick and twisted also. Poor doggy.

So I spent 1.5hrs duck hunting until level 102 for nothing? :( I earned my 2.1 mil :( (the 102 didn't even show fully, it was 1 0 | ) lolz

No. I think it is Minutes:Seconds. I've played games that are short and they end up to be like 2:43 or something like that. I know for sure it isn't 2 hours and 43 minutes, because I don't stay on that long. So the people with like 57:51, for example, have played for 57 hours and 51 minutes? Or is it 57 minutes and 51 seconds?


Back to the topic, I think it was just Puzzled Sheep that I've had problems with. Oh, wait... the times on many games are not accurate for me. Like sometimes it'd say 03:21, when I know I've played for at least 20 minutes.

I sent Nick a PM a few days ago, and he said that Duck Hunter would be removed from the arcade because of its unsuitable content.

Yes, I've noticed that too with the Cookie game. It seems if the cookie or tea cup is just below the mouth, you won't actually eat it. You need to be at the cookie when its just above the mouth ;)

This isnt really a glitch like the ones your talking about but the game Jungle Hunt is kinda messed up. I have the high score but it doesnt show up anywhere and I remember when it was a new game lots of ppl were playing it. And then it just disappeared from that list but all the other games stayed.

I think Nick might of removed it because of the blood...

Though I did find a bug that Nick might need to fix. Since you are the champion for jungle hunt, if we follow the link that says you are the champion, we can than follow another link to the game. If the game was removed, this needs to be fixed...

Ghost Hunter version one is a Whack a Ghost game. You whack at things to win.

Ghost Hunter version two that I was champion at was a thinking game when you have to collect stuff and trap and kill ghosts. It involves pushing blocks.

if you click "Help" it even says "Press RESTART to retry the level over again."

When you click the squares you are making a full commitment. It is especially frustrating when you are one more level away from being tied for first place. :angry8: :angry8:

Yeah, I agree TheMoth.. There isn't an undo or a way to restart, but if there was a "try again" button it wouldn't record the new score anyway ;)

The Mudball game has an error. When you play like the 16th level or something (maybe farther), there are about one-three enemies standing still, and you can't throw mudballs at them. It freezes the game, but you and your players can move...

Does it still allow you to submit a score or is it completely frozen so you have to refresh the page?

For me, I couldn't submit the score because I didn't defeat those two little frozen guys. But I could move my guys around so the computer and game thought I couldn't get them. I spent three minutes throwing mudballs at them and it went through them.

Sometimes on Equilibrium the guy is still on the rope, there is no half circle below him and he gets stuck. I could pull the rope away from him and he didn't even jump. I don't know if it happens enough to be a major concern though.

Okay, I tired Mudball again to get the specifics, and its Level 16 where 1-2 guys freeze, and you cannot knock them over. The way I achieved the High Score is I let the last guy that was throwing the Mudballs knock out all of my people..

The game "Snake," never is able to retrieve scores. Most of the time, I have not even been able to submit my score, one time I had higher than AwesomeTom, but it would never submit. :( :mad:

By the records, 577 people have submitted scores to the highscore list and about 120 ended up with 0. There just may be a problem, but I know when I've played, it's sent my score no problem-o. It says in the game "Could not retrieve scores" but it still sends the score to the list.
