When Evil Kid Bugs turned on Rep here a while ago, he placed some booby traps on the server that prevented us from turning it off.

Now that we are on a brand-new server, we are able to turn off Rep without blowing anything up.

Well, I'm somewhat glad that it is off. I've heard that some people have been abusing the system. I could have gone either way though. I was neither for nor against reputation coming back.

You should probably know that a lot of people were derepped randomly, or for bad reasons. Also, people would rep people for no or a bad reason, like just because they're the person's friend, or because of something that happened in-game.

Thanks; I don't think very many people were using it correctly. I've heard of some people giving it to people for spelling something wrong, or because they don't like the person.

Look at it this way: -rcv- has said before that if they disabled rep on the old server, it would crash/blow up. Then, no more VMKF.

omg i hate the new server then i liked rep even tho i had only 1 mickey i still liked it then i could give bad rep to ppl who were being mean and hijacking threads for their own use

but EKB shouldn't have made it so the server would blow up maybe alittle slower and maybe even shut down for 24 hrs but thats all

I dont get it... is EKB a mod? Then why does he make things harder for all the other mods?

and if he's just another player then why isn't he banned? bc if it was anyone else they would be banned.

Very nice ;) No more blank negative or good feedback. No cheap shots when you login that you can't respond to. Yeah, I realize you could disable it at the time, but it may have been nice to participate in something of the sort if the system wasn't corrupted and spoiled by bad eggs. On the other hand, I really didn't enjoy the popularity contests in highschool and the Rep seemed to remind me of that. Some people even went as far to say the people with lots of good rep know much more than others and that you could trust them better because of it, both not necessarily true. Since you couldn't view someone else's Rep comments, there is no creditibility to the numbers whatsoever.

Lol. Yet, even If you did disable reputation, other could give it to you without you knowing.

Oh yeah we don't have rep anymore, I didn't really see a difference lol. I didn't really mind having rep or not having it. I do feel bad for the people who had a whole bar full of it though, anyways, I'm glad things are back to normal :)
