View Full Version : Legitimate Quest Times?

I just hopped on VMK to do the Patriotic Quest and I happened to take notice of the fastest times..

1. 18 seconds
2. 23 seconds
3. 25 seconds
4. 26 seconds
5. 28 seconds

Am I the only one who is struggling to believe anyone could possibly do the quest that quickly? I mean I blazed through it pretty fast and still went over a minute. With 3 separate room changes required I don't see how anyone could possibly do it in 18 seconds, or even 28. I'm not sure if there's a way to cheat at this, some sort of program that completes it for you, but it truly seems unrealistic to me. It seems if they did use an illegal program it would be a pretty foolish place to use one since the lightning speeds might cause the staff to raise an eyebrow or two.. but the results just don't add up, in my opinion.

Any thoughts?

Its because they have spoilers... thats what i did... i had the spoiler opened up while having vmk screen to the right.....i did it in like 3 minutes though...18 seconds is insane!

Yeah, well it's obvious that they had the answers already, either from looking at a spoiler or previously completing it on another character..

But I still think 18 seconds is impossible. I just tried the quest again on a mule, and it took me over 2 minutes. (I guess I was wrong earlier about simply going over 1 minute.) I mean if all they had to do was click the answers, mayyybe I could see a way, but if you have to change rooms 3 different times, doesn't that take at least 18 seconds by itself?

Yea. I'd like to know the secret, too. It takes me at least 18 seconds just to open the room enough for the quest to advance.

The secret is that because of a quest machine glitch that the staff is working on, the time resets during the quest. Some of you don't notice this, but you do notice when the quest window keeps disappearing before you can click "Next Task."

In short, the people whose time is "impossible" did not finish the quest in that amount of time, their quest clock reset.
