and you don't have Mace Windu those are my 2 favorite. but the one on the list has to be Yoda. All 6 Movies he has proven himself to be the best jedi. How can you not love him and he's Green!

Obi-Wan was the coolest for me. He's really shown that he has truly become a true Jedi Master as we followed him throughout all of the films. He also killed the most signifigant villians, with an impressive count of three. He also has the lightsaber moves of what I consider, "Un-natural..." :D

I liked Qui-Gon Jin(spelling) until well he yanno Died....

There were definetly some significant charachters overlooked for this poll, I think your going to get a lot of "other" votes.
I voted for Luke however just because he evolved the most between the movies, all of the other characters (with the obvious exception of Anakin/Vader, but that transition wasn't as smooth as it should have been) stayed pretty much static thoughout the story.

Han Solo is my favorite character, and he's my all-time favorite movie hero as well.

And not just because Han is cute and witty with great hair, but also because he is so fearless. Out there fighting those bad guys with no magical jedi powers to help him defeat the dark side. Not only that but his character's transformation from a self centered, greedy dog to a caring, good friend that sticks around no matter what, is another great thing about his character. Therefore, in my opinion he's the best all around *main* character in the Star Wars movies. :D

Anyone notice that in both trilogies the guys (Han and Anakin) that are clearly the "bad boys" get the girls. LOL

LOL...I know what you mean, MrLunatix, and had I not just re-watched the original Star Wars, I couldn't have agreed with you more. Everytime I watch Episode IV, I am surprised that Yoda is nowhere to be found. It's hard to think that such an iconic character didn't show up until Episode V!

One interesting thing they discussed on a DVD bonus disc for one of the movies (Episode II?) was how they turned puppet Yoda into CG Yoda. Apparently, in the earlier screen tests, the CG Yoda looked too good--although arguably more lifelike, the CG Yoda didn't mimic all of the hand movements and other idiosyncrasies that Frank Oz brought to the puppet that we've all grown to know and love. So, in the end, they ended up making the CG Yoda look more like a puppet, and everyone is happy. :D

As for my favorite character, I'll probably go with the unoriginal yet easily defendable choice of Han Solo. Some of the characters take themselves a little too seriously at times, and it's always nice to hear a wisecrack from Han. Here's one of my favorites from the original movie:

Han Solo: Everything's under control. Situation: normal.

Intercom voice: What happened?

Han Solo: Had a slight weapons malfunction, but everything's perfectly alright now. We're fine, we're all fine, here now, thank you. How are you?

Intercom voice: We're sending a squad up.

Han Solo: Negative, negative, we have a reactor leak here, now. Give us a few minutes to lock it down. Large leak, very dangerous.

Intercom voice: Who is this? What's your operating number?

[Han blasts the intercom]

Han Solo: Boring conversation anyway. Luke we're gonna have company!
