I created a character in the park in Nov. And today it told me I would have to pick a new name. the name was tinker.bell . I have played this character too. Has anyone had this happen?

I got my title changed from CoolRedSox to SleepyRoo but I had a good reason for it. VMK kept telling me that I couldn't, then before I knew it I had to choose a new title.

but did you play with that firs title for months? I am so confused!

The same thing happened to me. I made my character last August in the park. Then, boom, one day in February I got on to the message telling me to pick another name. I sent message after message to VMK after that asking for an explanation as to why they suddenly decided to take it away. The few answers that I did receive had nothing to do with what I had actually asked. One told me that my name gave out personal information. I replied that my name simply said that I was "Made In America" not that I lived there. After many long "moons" and talking to every host I could during their "Ask a Question" sessions, the best host of all helped with my situation. I am grateful to her every day because now I am no longer "TitleTaken!"

I am sorry it happened to you too. All I can suggest is to keep sending messages through the contact us link and talk to all the hosts you can. Maybe they are cracking down on the copyrighted character's names. But I do know how you feel! :(

Maiden is exactly right. They're not allowing so many "licensed" character names like tinkerbell. :D Sorry to hear you lost your name :(
