That's because everyone one of you was breaking Values and they had to shut VMK down for almost FOUR HOURS to fix the code problem. I am going to laugh like a maniac when all of those codes don't work :p

Vmk staff said it was ok as long as when we didn't enter the codes in too fast, so i enter them like every other minute now.

The game is on the news section of the forum there is a link there. A guide of spoilers is in the secrets section if you need help. But anyway I heard alot of warnings last night to people and even some bans.

Actually they are trying to put an end to it. If they catch you cheating by putting the codes really fast. And catch you passing on to others on how to get codes faster. They will band you from vmk. So it is cheating and considering hacking.

no it is not hacking in no way are you hacking onto the sight you are just refreshing the game codes. and staff have no way of knowing how you play the game. If they did they would be HACKING ON YOUR computer. And that is illegal. People would take them to court if they find out VMK hacked their computer to find out how they play the pirates game.

Ok people.What is happening in the pirates game is not hacking.Consider it a "loop-hole" in the system.If you don't know what im talking about think of the first Super Mario Brothers video game released for the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System).On the second level of the game there is a "loop-hole" at the end.You jump above the tube and walk across the bricks to the other side and see the tubes leading to the different levels.If you found it on the pirates game, ok you are pretty smart at problem solving (or just want a Capitain Jack Sparrow costme). If not just deal with it

The thing is as has been posted by another forum member who talked to vmk staff this is not cheating and is not against vmk values. using a scripting program to enter codes is cheating. purposefully creating a way to formulate more codes than other players can possibly get is cheating. in fact this is the specfic rule You Must NOT:Use ANY hacking, scripting or editing program with the game. Using this "shortcut" as it is called is not cheating because there is nothing in vmk values about not being allowed to take advantage of a glitch in the game design. as long as you physically enter in these codes yourself.

Well said!! If VMK did not want us doing this, then they would have shut the game down and fixed it so we couldn't. Well they haven't done this yet. so i'm guessing they really dont have a problem with it. Maybe they do but i havent told us yet.Remember the narnia game? No one really played that once we found out you get the teleporters in the beginning. all you did was refresh the screen. Well thats what we are doing with pirates, except its at the end of the game this time. They didn't have a problem in narnai when all we did was refresh the screen to find the teleporters. So why should their be a problem now ?

No it isn't. It is taking advantage of a problem that is at their fault. Where in the Values does it say we can't do that? Yay, it still works! -happy dance-

I already know where the items are any way, why waste my time clicking all over for them again when i could be entering alot of codes that might possibly a code for the pirate costume?

i agree i think this is how you get the costume: the staff have a raffle every one that plays an hour is entered the winner will get a code that gives that person pirate cosume the next game they play but you have to play the full game to be entered
