VMKForums Gallery is a area of VMKForums where you can upload images, photos, artwork, anything visually stimulating into main categories or your own personal albums. You can comment on and rate the photos.

Remember that you must stay withing the site rules when using this new feature and you MUST NEVER upload a picture of yourself or any of your family members, even if it is a photo of "for example" you riding the rollercoaster at a theme park.

All photos will have to be approved before they show up, so don't keep uploading images thinking that it isn't working, it may take a hour or so for photos to be appoved. This is to stop naughty people puting up photos that break the rules.

Plain registered users get 20meg space for photos, Donating members get more space.

But other than that enjoy the new features and have fun!

Yes you may do that, but remember your limited to 20meg with this if your not a donating member so you may want to preserve your space :)

I think it is kind of like Photo Bucket. You can have albums/galleries that people can view and comment on (and it provides a link so we can post th picture). Pretty kewl huh!

LOL We can still use imageshack and such. The member galleries is limited (because we have limited upload space).

If you are a donator, you get a MUCH larger limit, which i doubt you will hit.

But there's a limit on the HDD on the server and i don't want to hit the limit in a few months lol

I have bumped the registered users up to 40mb which should get you about 80 photos or about 400 screenshots in your gallery.

I have a question, can we delete pictures that we already put to make way for new ones?

Also, why when I try to upload a file it says:

The file you uploaded was not an acceptable format.: (then the file I tryed to upload.)

Eh I have a question. I just added a new art thing to my art gallery and it is not showing up in th gallery. Same thing with my vmk screenshot thing (I made an album for my vmk screenshots and I put a screenshot of my room and it was moved out of my screenshot album). I am confused. I want those things in those albums but they got moved out of it for some reason.

All pictures need to be approved by a mod or admin before they're displayed in the Gallery - that's why it didn't immediately appear. Your pic should be there now.

EDIT:: Never mind. I moved them to the propper album, now I just need to wait for them to be re-approved.

My pics were already approved. I'm saying that they were moved out of the album I put them in. My vmk screenshot out of my screenshots album and my vmk costume art out of my art album. You can view the image, they are just not in the album I put them in. They are no longer in an album.

Last EDIT, I swear: The "edit photo" option may be a mod/admin option only. Maybe try "move photo" if that's an option beneath the selected photo.

Real last EDIT: Maybe registered users are only permitted 1 album? An admin or Nick can confirm/deny this. I've seen no more than 1 successful album per registered user, where the rest of the albums (with the cover thumbnail) have no images inside.

I see. In that case, try selecting the picture that is out of the album (or that you want to move) and click "edit photo" beneath the picture. There should be an option to move it into a different album.

I made this mistake a couple times while eagerly uploading photos, just double check which folder/album you're uploading to each time.
Thanks :) I did that, now I just need them to be re-approved (whenever you edit the pic or description ect you have to get it approved again).

A couple questions:

1. Is there a way to upload multiple photos or is that only for subscribed users? I can't select more than one image at a time from the browser.

2. Are there special parameters for uploading multiple files from another web address? I put the correct path to the images and it doesn't give me a result or uploads the photos. For example, my server doesn't allow directory browsing, but you can view individual files in the path.

We have disabled uploading of multiple images to stop flooding.

Why did you stop checking the photos to make sure they are not breaking the rules? Unless the mod have super powers and looked at my picture the second I put them in, I think you stoped checking them..

How do you delete images? Someone asked, but I never saw an answer...

I have pictures that I would like to delete, too, but I don't want to delete the entire album.
