Well now that rep is back (thanks to EKB) I figure it is time for that good old reputation guide to come back. i searched for Karo's thread but alas could not find it :(
The first step in giving reputation is clicking the rep. icon.When you see a post you like or dont like you can click the scale icon to give that person good or bad rep.

When you decide to give someone rep. you can choose I approve ( gives good rep) or I disapprove (gives bad rep).The rep power someone has is shown by the Mickey Icon under the area with their location and total number of posts.

To veiw your rep. points click User CP. A good rep will be shown by a mickey icon,a bad one will be shown by a red rectangle. Reps from people are anonymous, however it will show you in which thread someone gave you good rep.Some people may sign it,and others will leave it anonymous.If you give Mods rep I do believe they can see whom it was from,so be careful.I put lines through my rep,because I just didnt want you to see what people left me. http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/usercp.php
Mickey means good reputation.
Other members have decided that they like your posts and you have recieved more good rep than bad rep.
Pluto means neutral reputation.
You have either recieved an equal amount of good and bad rep or you have recieved none at all.
This also shows when a user has disabled reputation.
Red means bad reputation.
Other members have decided thatthey do not like your posts and you have recieved more bad rep than good rep.
Each little reputation square that is full is worth about 100 points, you lose 1 point and gain 1 every time somebody adds or takes away rep from you. of course some times the 1 dot you hav isn't full. just as soon as you get a second dot, the first one is worth roughly 100 points.

Spamming reputation can get you into big trouble. Spamming rep means you put things like "i like pie" or give bad rep with no reason. We just got the rep system back lets not lose it again please

Sometimes people leave it blank or you have no rep at all. Since you joined after rep was taken away (around november) you have no reputation. Once you recieve some rep you will be able to see what someone said.
i dont get the plutos... how do you give somebdy a neutral rep?
Pluto means it doesn't count for or against you. It's from a user who doesn't have enough positive rep yet to be able to have their points count. :) - Said by GBShorts
What's up with my Tink's Fireworks is in line with out a ticket?
This means currently nobody has given you any rep, you just have the 10 you started with
what is the point system for? if you go below a certain number, are you restricted in some way? If you get alot, can you trade them in on some fabulous virtual avatar or something?
There is no prize for having the most points its just a way sort of to reward good posts. If you notice some people have more mickey's then others. This means a lot of people gave them rep.
