A stereotype on vmk is that if a person sees a goth person, then they think that goth person is weird. But people can still be friends with goth people. It's not a big deal. Also, my friend from vmk told me that his friend died because some people were making fun of his friend because she was goth.

Add me.. ALot of my friends are goth and they get made fun of them, as for me I try to stick up for them, but being 12 and short, it does not help. Add me:)

You can't 'ban' stereotypes. There will always be people who stereotype people. In a sense I stereotype some types of people, such as your example, goths. I don't think their weird, it's just that based on what they say they are they are supposedly haters of my religion. Many people in VMK say their goth to try and get friends, although I usually don't see that happening.

I know, I can't ban stereotypes. I just want some people to stop saying their stereotypes out loud and making fun of them because of their stereotypes. Also, I don't want people staying away from other people because of their stereotypes. Some goths don't show their hate for other people's religions. I mean, each person has a different opinion on their religion like me. I'm an atheist, but I don't talk about my religion that much. Some goths don't even talk about their religion and I understand that there are goths who stereotype and may show they might hate their religion
Anyway, I know I can't ban stereotyping (It's like saying I can ban jealousy or war), but I just want people to think about their stereotypes. That's my opinion and I have read many stories concerning stereotypes that make me worried about our world.

Uh.. ppl sterotype me as goth, or hardcore rocker. But it doesnt matter to me, i dont believe in labels, i think that all they are is just something to make people feel better about themselves. But anyways you will never stop it, just to let you know. Nobody will stop sterotypes. Sorry to say it.

There is always people who stereotype people... that is just how it is, people sometimes just don't like other people and want to give that group of people trouble and pick on them and judge them.. But I don't get how you can ' ban ' these stereotypes.

I agree with DarknessGirl.

It would be next to impossible to eliminate all stereotypes because simply, the world is full of them. Everywhere you go you'll find superficial people who unfortunately judge based on dress, vehicles, money, heritage, etc. It will always exist to some level and the only way to deal with it is to tell those people to keep their comments to themselves and defend yourself. I am from a mixed background and I delt with people not liking me because my skin is a few shades darker then most of them. Later on in life I found a couple people were jealous, they told me, just because I have a tan year round and it's difficult for them to get one.

Yes but you can stop the evil comments like smiley said. For example i was playing vmk while i posted the first comment i made on page 1. So im in a room with my friend (i cant post the names of anyone or the names of rooms sorry i have to keep classified)and she is about to let everyone in for the cute or boot game. So im playing and u know how the game goes you change your color of clothes so my friend says the color is black i change to black and one girl says "I dont wear black because im not goth and wearing black means your wierd" . And i go off on her saying that not all goths wear black and that wearing black does not mean your wierd etc. And then she went on about me with blond hair saying im dumbo. Its ridiculous!:wave2:

Maybe it would've been best to not add any gas to the fire. A personal opinion is a difficult thing for others to change.
