Hi im going to Disneyland on July 7 and i was wondering if there was anything special going on at the parks, since Pirate of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is opening.

I am hearing from some people that the movie will be showing there, you need an extra hard ticket to get in...

I need to know whats actually going on on July 7!

Well POTC at Disneyland will be reopening with a ceremony, for the first time the public will be able to see the all new insides. Expect extremely large crouds and lines exceeding two hours for Pirates all day. I wish I could go :( I'll be out of town. At least I got to space mountain's reopening. Anyway the new Pirate Quest should be out by then as well with the Treasure Detector Magic. Oh yeah.. media everywhere.

the ride opens at disneyland on june 26 to the public on the 24 is the movie premiere. the park closes at 6 or 7 to get everyone out the movie is only for invite guest i got a ticket and will be going and taking pics, not only do ticket holders get to see the movie but you also get to ride the ride. if you are a cast member you can ride the ride the week up to the movie premiere how ever there will be no pics or video from them because security will be patting them down as for you saying the ride will open on the 7 of july that is at walt disney world disneylands WILL open on june 26

There will be 2 Block Party Parades that day.

They are also running exta parades at DLR.

They are expecting big crowds, and have blocked out any Cast members and their families from entering the park for free.

The lines for the reopening of this ride are going to be LONG. Even during times of the day when people are watching fireworks, eating, etc... the lines will be well over a hour the entire day. Fastpasses will be gone before noon and there will be a lot of people waiting to get on the ride. I happen to be in WDW when it does open and will try getting on the ride. I just hope the the new quests will open soon.

Pirates of the Caribbean Does not have fass passes.

Anyways i believe a good deal of New Orlean Square will be closed off which will make detours and also the entire Rivers of America will be closed off because of the movie so that means no:

2.Mark Twain
3. Fantasmic
4.Columbia

Yes, there is something special going on, I think, the 6th, and there is a special package that is like $300 or something and you get a room at the Disneyland hotel and you get to see famous people, but I think they are all sold out... and also, at DownTown Disney, they are going to be showing it at 12:00 Midnight at the AMC theater, and, the park is going to be SUPER busy on the 7th and go on pirates FIRST! because it opens on the 7th. So, run run run, to New Orleans Square to get in line for PotC Ride.

But a must on rides...

2. Pirates
3. Splash Mt.
4. Indiana Jones
5. Matterhorn
6. Mr. Toads Wild Ride
7. Peter Pan's Flight

And many others.

Oh yeah, and a little tip:

Rojer Rabbit's Ride, or w/e it is called, in Mickey's ToonTown has fastpasses, but what some might not know is it is not connected to the other fast passes, so you could get fast passes to that, and another ride before the time is up, if it is not fixed...

Same goes with Grizzley Rapids in DCA (Disney's California Adventure)

Good advice, do that, have like a parent go and get a little breakfast. And, maybe even walk there because it is good excersise, unless you are to far away.

And remember to print the quests and answers to the quests. I had something else... but I forgot it... it was something about the park...

But here is more advice, RBING WALKIE-TALKIES, or even cellphones, and if you get lost, go to City Hall, which is in front of the park. And also, have a great stay at the Happiest Place on Earth! And take the Monerail, it is quite enjoyable, to me...

Also, wear light clothes... no coats, especially in Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, whooo , it was the hottest it had ever been in there, my glasses fogged up.

And also, in Tomorrowland, look for Push the Trashcan, he is like no other, if you see a crowd around a trash can, that is Push, you will know if it is him because you will hear a weird voice, and he will have the name PUSH on his trashcan, only one in Disneyland that does, which makes him Push, the Trashcan, but sometime, he is in stores, I have seen him in one, and he is ONLY IN TOMORROWLAND.

VMK quests are in Innoventions now, they are not outside it, last time I was there at least.

So... When is the Pirate Quest coming out, and what will happen on July 7 in DLR? @_@

The first is the June 24 private (I believe its invitation-only like last time) event just like they had for the last pirates' movie world premiere where the park closes early.

This is how the day kind of went from what I read from the park map I saved from my morning visit on June 28, 2003 (Yes, I was silly enough to plant myself in front of the park gates at 6am so I could get a sunrise shot of the castle but it turned out to be cloudy, 'June gloom' morning):

Last time it was an event where the front gates at Disneyland Park would not admit any guests after 6pm. Then they began to close attractions in the western half of the park starting at 3pm. Frontierland, New Orleans Square, & Critter Country were closed off early, with Adventurland closing at 8pm. Regular guests that were in the park by the listed closing time were allowed to stay in the rest of the park (which remained open until 9pm). The remaining park guests were able to also view the celebrity red carpet arrival along Main Street.



Second is a sold-out private screening event for the evening of July 6.

Packages were priced at $235, $450, & $525. The packages would have included (depending on the package bought): a stay at Disneyland Hotel or Grand Californian, special themed dinner, Special Queue for the POTC ride 9-11pm, photo souvenir, first chance to pruchase limited Pirates merchandise, admission to the POTC movie screening at AMC in DTD.

8 of each and i think the days of the new POTC rides are opening differnet days for DLR and WDW cause the actors from the movie are going to each park when the new and approved ride opens

Well im just going to deovote that WHOLE day into that paricular ride just pack sun screen and some drinks and a snack and be prepared for a 5 hour wait - personaly don't care i will wait - pass :) Oh and just run to it :) Lol see you there DLR Memories :)

I heard it was to set up for viewing the of pirate movie but I don't know for sure.Last time they did the World Premiere for the first POTC movie, they built a huge screen on the Fantasmic Stage and built stadium type seating along the Rivers of America & New Orleans Square. Due to Disneyland opening at 6:30am, there will be no Early Entry on June 24.

Just one, for the whole family, but you all must be signed up, or the person will not give you all 8 packs.At WDW they will only redeem two quest sets for each printout provided there are two qualified tickets. I would strongly suggest that for safety sake you have a printout for each person that way there can be no mistake. It is only a piece of paper so do not get caught without what you need to get your quest cards.

It's opening on July, 7 2006... I think you should make it in time to ride it...
