Ok, so who's going to go see it? I know that the drama club at my school has like a group of 30 people all going to see it on opening day.

525,600 Minutes,
How Do you measure,
measure a year?
In daylights?
In sunsets?
In midnights and cups of coffee?
In inches?
In miles?
In laughter and strife?
In 525,600 minutes
How do you measure the year in the life?
How about love?
How about love?
Measure in love,
Seasons of Love.

I have heard of it, but have no clue what it is about. So I will not be seeing it any time soon.

Ok Info: RENT is a musical that opened in 1996 to my knowledge and it has been one of the most talked about musicals. It is up there with Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, and now Wicked. It's the story of 8 friends who have a not so easy time with life. That's RENT in a nutshell, I recommend you all see it (With a parent of course if you are under 17, it is rated R, I believe).

I sang this song in choir class, but we didn't sing it at our fall concert because some of the lines repeat a lot.

I so want to see it. I know I won't get to see it because neither of my parents will probably take me to see it. I still love it and want to see it. I mean i can't get Seasons of Love out of my head and that's a good thing.
BTW: the movie is rated PG-13 not R

I saw it on Friday. I was planning on going on opening night (I'm a drama geek lol) but I ended up going to a concert instead.

The movie is fantastic. I have been a fan of Rent even before the movie and the movie was great (it didn't ruin it like some plays -> movies or books -> movies do).

I absolutely love the music to Rent (I know pretty much every song lol) my favorites are Light My Candle, Seasons of Love (doesn't everyone?), La Vie, Out Tonight, Take Me or Leave Me, and the Finale.

I suggest everyone see the movie even if you don't know much about it. It's amazing.

So...who has seen La Boheme? Anyone...anyone except me? ;) Anyways, for those of you who don't know...Rent is really a modern day La Boheme, but instead of being set in Paris it's set in New York. And instead of Mimi being struck with tuberculosis...they're struck with AIDS. Not counting the incredible amount of mature themes and stuff that just isn't appropriate at all for those younger than 13...Rent is amazing. Great music, interesting storyline, and an amazing cast.

Measure in love! :D

Do you lurve RENT? Do the songs get stuck in your head? Do you find out how many minutes you've lived since your last birthday? Ok, maybe the last one's only me, but this is the spot to discuss RENT!

I am a HUGE fan of Musicals, but I have to admit that this one should not be discussed here. It does contain adult content.

Fell free to discuss musicals overall (AND there are threads on it) but lets leave out specific stories in detail.

Thank you! (Thread closed soon)

BY the way..the movie is pg-13 , so would the play be
