I have been playing Blast in Space for a couple of days and have managed to win the game four times. Each time at the end I get a message that I need to be logged in to receive a code. The first time I got that message - the second time my internet connection had dropped out, the third I got logged out, but I signed back in before I completed the game and got the same message. The fourth time it didn't say I was logged out until I won the game. This is incredibly frustrating. Does anyone have any tips on what I can do? My internet connection has been fine (except for the one time). Is there anything I can do to stay logged in or any way I can log back in before I complete level 16?

Thanks.

As somebody who's won his share of Space Suits, I can tell you how frustrating it is when you realize your internet signal dropped somewhere between level 1 and 16. However, the only time you should receive (and the only times I've received) a message saying that VMK can't connect and can't get you a code for your prize is if you're not connected to the internet at the end of the game. It doesn't matter if you lose connection from VMK; in fact that happens to me more often than not. But as long as you're connected to the internet at the time of completion, you shouldn't have a problem with getting your code. Sorry if that's not a lot of help, but I think you should start looking for the problem somewhere else..

That's what I thought. I won a space suit a long time ago and didn't have any problem even though I did get logged out. That's why I kept trying to win thinking I could get the code. As I said, I even signed back in to vmk (so obviously I had an active connection) and it didn't give me the code. I wonder what the problem is. I was hoping to win a couple of space suits and make them prizes for a quest.

Thanks for your reply. At least now I know that it hasn't changed and I should be getting the code. Now to figure out how to get it to work.

If you get a disconnect message during an arcade game, just ignore it and make sure to keep that original VMK window open. If you close that window or sign back on, you'll lose any codes you could have won.

Like Claw said, you only need an internet connection for the end of Level 16. When I used to play off my neighbor's wireless, I'd always time the end of my games to when I had a signal.

The same applies for when VMK closes. If you have the original VMK window open along with the Arcade window with an internet connection, you can still earn 1 last code long after VMK has closed.

Thanks Wendot. Something is not right. I just now won again using a different browser (hoping that might make a difference), I did not close the window, and I definitely have an active internet connection and I got the same message. I give up. I have wasted so much time playing this game. Hopefully someone has a solution. Until then, no more Blast in Space for me.

Thanks to both of you for trying to help.

I... dunno. It must be blocked by safety. VMK pal cannot connect to the internet when safety is blocking it, and i think it is the same with blast in space. But, then again, i dunno if there is much we can do about it. Maybe you should ask :CastMem: about this.

Ok, I clicked on the help tool and sent a message to VMK about my problem. They replied by asking me if my computer and connection meets all the requirements and to please get back to them if I was still having problems. I sent a reply that yes my computer does meet the requirements and listed the specs of my computer and again asked for help. They replied by saying,

"We have closed your original help request, because we felt that our
last email to you answered your question. If you need more help, please
use the VMK Help Tool again and we will get back to you as soon as we
can."

I went back to the help tool, copied and pasted the previous correspondence and said that their email did not answer any questions, but asked me a question to which I replied and again I asked for help.

They wrote back

"Thanks for letting us know about the problem you are experiencing with
VMK. This is an issue we are working on, and hope to have it resolved
soon.
There is no need for you to report it again."

So I guess that's that.
