ok I have read all the posts and am tierd! alot of debating is going on and I searched HSM2 and the Wekpidiea said that HSM was sopose to be a three part tele-film. and that shooting will begin when Zack finishes Hair Spray! the movie is called High School Musical: Sing It All Or Nothing. The sound track will be relesed August 2007! Hope u sort this out.

Your an extra, lol, I got the leading role.

An extra is a background person.
For example the two main characters are at a party with a bunch of other people those other people are extra's.
They don't have speaking roles though lol. :D
Trust me used to be one of them those days are over.
Now I do theatre, classes, and SOMETIMES extra work.
Anyway a kid in my acting class is going to be on HSM2 too! (maybe you'll get to work with her she's Japanese) she has like one speaking role. I think it's "Hey Troy Nice trunks man!" and she gets paid like $100 when you have 5 lines in a film/pilot/commercial you get paid more than extras extras get about $20-$50 depends what you do.

I agree it is very very rare that a person just gets the part on the set ( there has only been like a couple cases like the e.t. boy) but since hsm was a huge thing i dont think they want to risk that, so therefore i dont think things add up....

I was convinced that you did not get the part because of your bad grammar and spelling errors. No, actually it's just something that especially bothered me. I believe you're desperate for attention and trying to pull other people into it. Someone who got a part of an extra in High School Musical 2 would have to have some kind of previous acting skills. You did not succeed in convincing us. And Zac Efron doesn't have the interest to take precious minutes out of his day to eat salty crackers with an extra.

Zac is really cool.He looks really different without makeup. Funny thing happened, At break time, I was sitting with a box of salty crackers (looking all down in the dumps,don't no lol) then the down in the dumps Zac came over by me and said "can I have some crackers?" then we are both sitting together (side by side) looking lonesome eating crackers.It was funny!He likes crackers to much.lol

I am not going to give a lot of personal info, But I spoke with one of the parents of a lead in the HSM series, they have NOT STARTED FILMING.

Not even all of the leads, are in rehearsals either.

I talked to the parent this afternoon.( on the set of another Disney Channel Show)

It is not so unusual for the Leads to hang out with extras. My daughter has been background on a few DC shows, and she is treated like an equal.

However, HSM is not even in production yet.

My daughter was an extra in the The DC New Years Bowl a thon, which was filmed at the end of October. Corbin Bleu was asked over and over by the kids on the set about HSM 2, and I heard him say, "we havent even seen the scripts yet".

Yesterday, the parent told me, It is going to happen, in Utah and maybe Canada, but they have not started yet.

No it is Not in Pensylvania (PA).It s somewhat close to PA. A bit far away though.

Update!: There is also auditions for Phi of the Future, That's so Raven and something like Cats and Dogs.

Have fun there! I probably could've been in it, but;
1. I'm a guy- and my friends would probably make fun of me.
2. I don't really care for HSM in the first place.
3. I don't live near PA.

Be sure to take lots of pictures, so you'll never forget. Just have fun. I'm not sure if it will be stressful on you, but, when I was in a 7 million dollar play (don't want to say title personal info, blah), it was tough. We had practice on school nights from when ever school got out to 2 in the morning. Because of my part, they put make up near by eyes. (Don't ask..) And I would be so tired, I'd go to school with make-up on my eyes.
But anyway, just enjoy the experience. :)
