I just want everyone the know, not all of these names are real, and I writing this because I am out of school as of today, and I am really sad about leaving my friends for the summmer.
School's Out!
Goodbye Friends
"Okay everyone, I am going to let Toy Story 2 keep going while we switch classrooms for signing yearbooks!" said my teacher, Mrs. Quelland. I was ready to go around rooms and see my friends from the other 5th grade classrooms. We were just watching Toy Story 2 on our last day of school at Paseo Verde Elementary School. I didn't want to leave my school, but I did to get away from all of the work in school.
***
"Hey, Sydney. Hey Christina," I said to my friends in my class. I see them all the time, so I wanted to go see my friend, Spencer, who is a girl. I said hi to some people on my way to Mrs. Biddle's class. I saw Giorgio in Mrs. Biddle's class, and I remembered that he was supposed to tell Alexa that he liked her.
"Giorgio, remember, in five minutes."
"Okay, but I am not going to do it, you do it!!" he said, a little scared. I kept on bugging him, telling him, five, four three, two, one! It was time for me to tell Alexa. I told Giorgio that he should leave so I could tell her.
"Hey Alexa. I am going to tell you who likes!"
"I know who it is. He wrote me a note, and I know the hand-writing. it is Giorgio!" she exclaimed.
"Oh snap, well, okay you know!"
***
"Okay kids, come back into the classroom!" said my teacher. I knew we were going to sit around and talk about the school year. She asked us, "Do you kids remember what we did on the first day of school?" I didn't remember too much of it, so I didn't raise my hand. A few kids answered, they said that we put up tacks of where we went during the summer, we played a yarn game, where you threw a ball of yarn at someone and they told you something about them selves and then we throw it back and remember what they said, and I still remember, I threw it at Alexa, Alexa likes ice skating..., and one more thing, Mrs. Quelland sang us a song, it was called "Getting to Know You", her 5th grade teacher sang it to her. I don't know the words to it, but she has a beautiful voice! Once she told us that we were the answers to her prayers, she started crying. I almost did, but I held it in. Then, she let us go, and I hugged all of the girls, I was so sad, and one of them, at least one of them, was moving. I hugged one guy, Nick. It was so memorable. It was the best 5th grade ever! I am going to miss all of my friends!
I got on the bus with my friend, Kaitlin. She was in Ms. Colletto’s class. I talked to her for a while and then I got off of the bus. I love our bus driver, because she gave us Otter Pops!
Once I got home, I, of course, got on the computer. I wasn't very sad, but then, I talked to my friends, Christina, Sydney, and Nick on the computer, and I became sad because some of them were sad. Then, I listened to my favorite song for when I miss my friends, Graduation (Friends Forever) by Vitamin C. I started crying at that song because the chorus is really sad, and true.
***
My friend, from Mrs. Biddle's class, Spencer, she called me up and asked if I wanted to come over her house and swim. She had Kylie and Alexa over also, so I said "Sure."
Once I got over Spencer's house, I was waiting with Alexa and Kylie because Spencer was still eating. We pinkie swore we were going to swim at 2:00 PM.
It was really fun in the pool, because Spencer has like this waterfall and a slide. All we did pretty much was like, pretend that we had customers and we put them in a boat type thing, and we pulled them around the boat. Alexa was the person who described what we were seeing. Then, Spencer and I were under the boat, it was flipped, and she said she was going to ditch Alexa, but, they actually ditched me. It was like funny though, because I was under there with no one else in the pool, ha ha funny. And then, I found out no one was in the pool, so I got out, and then found Kylie and Alexa. But, no Spencer. We took a long time playing a game of hide-and-seek, but we didn't even plan to play it.
We finally found Spencer. She was in her towel, on top of her bunk-bed, and Kylie, well, she knew Spencer was there. She found her, and didn't tell us.
***
We decided that we wanted to play that game, so we had a helper, and the person who hid. Both of the people hid, and the "searchers" went outside for four minutes.
***
Soon enough though, it was 4:30 PM, and Alexa had to leave for home.
Once she left, however, the three of us still had some fun. We went into the pool again and played a monster baby game, sounds funny, but it was fun! We were getting kind of cold, so we decided to get out, dry off, and wait for our parents to bring our clothes, because Kylie and I were going to sleepover.
***
Once my mom came, and then Kylie's mom came, her mom said that she didn’t want her to go to the "Paseo Verde Park", since we wanted to go there at like 7:30. So, we asked Bubba, Spencer's brother, his nick-name, if he and his friend would take us down there. They said yes and Kylie's mom still said no, so she said she would meet us there to watch us.
Bubba and his friend left while we were almost there, since we saw Kylie's mom driving.
What we did there was, there is this big hill at the park, it is not too tall, but just right, so all three of us raced down the hill. It hurt SO badly, but we survived. Kylie, Spencer, and I had red marks ALL down out arms. Then, we decided to go down a smaller, but steeper, hill. I didn't go down that one.
Soon enough, we were right next to the basketball courts, talking, talking about us, stories, other people, what we like and don't like about people. And then, this red car, which was playing like, really loud music, pulled up. We though he was going to have a gun, but no, he was just shooting some hoops, at like 8:15 PM. But we were a little scared, so we decided to ask Kylie's mom if she would drive us to Spencer's house. She did, and we got home safely.
***
Once we got home, we got ready for bed. Then, we got the bed ready, but we didn't exactly go on the bed yet. You see, one of the rooms in her house, the Dalmatian Room, as we call it, has two couches. Kylie and Spencer were on the bigger one and I was one the smaller one. We talked and talked, all night long. Then, after like a few hours of talking, we decided that everything we say, must stay between this triangle we have created. Then, we got tired and decided to get all snuggled up in out beds. Spencer turned on the movie The Pacifier, and I saw like the first five minutes, and the credits. Then, I fell right back to sleep.
Nothing Special
I woke up around… I guess you could day 5:30 AM. Of course, I went back to sleep, and then I kept waking up, I don’t know why, but I just did. And finally, I woke up because of Woody, Spencer’s pet dog. He was licking me all over my face, he is cute, but he woke me up for probably a third time.
***
I woke up, yet a fourth time, but, I stayed awake, because it was like… 7:30, or something. And then, Sid, Spencer’s cat, came over to me, and woke up Kylie. Spencer was still sleeping when Sid came by, so we decided to play with him for a while. I was touching his foot, like petting it, and he would bite me. It didn’t hurt or anything, but it was… a funny feeling.
Kylie and I were getting a little bored of waiting for Spencer, so I took a leap up, and went downstairs. Kylie followed me, and when we got down there, Spencer’s dad was outside. When he saw us, he came inside and asked us, “Where is Spencer? Is she still sleeping? Well, okay, what would you girls like to eat?” I said I wanted cereal, so did Kylie, then, I Spencer come downstairs. Her dad asked her what she wanted to eat, she said eggs in a basket. Her dad was making it when we finished. Neither of us knew what eggs in a basket were, but soon found out. It is an egg, not boiled, a raw egg in a piece of bread.
***
Once we finished watching Spencer eat, Kylie and I went to go play some pool, on a pool table. We were really bad, and I was kind of playing with some darts. A few of them fell where Spencer were, but they didn’t hit her.
We were getting bored of playing pool, so we went to go talk in our triangle and such. But, soon enough, my mom came to pick me up at 9:00 AM. We were going bowling at 9:00 AM, so I had to hurry.
***
Once I got to the bowling alley, I saw a few people I haven’t seen for the longest time. I don’t think they remembered me, but I remembered them a little. I saw Connor, who knows me well, he is my mom’s friend kid, a year younger than me. I saw Taylor and Jordan, who were girls and one, Taylor, was my age, and the other, Jordan, was a year younger than me. Then I saw Gwen, she goes to my school, and is, also, one year, younger than me. My mom was on a bowling league, and she had some free passes, so we rented 2 lanes. I was with Connor, Alex, Connor’s 5 year old brother, Jordan, and, of course, me. We bowled 3 games, and since there were 4 people, that counted as 12 games. But I had a blast there.
***
Once I got home, I did nothing but go on the computer and watch TV. It was a “nothing special” day, but it was a day in my summertime, so it was fun!
This is not part of the book, but this story is true, and it ALL happened today, because I got out of school today, and I am really sad that I don't get to see my friends. Next chapter out soon! I am going to record all of this so I can rememeber it!
