I was going through some of the UserPages, which is a big, time-consuming job since there are currently about 840 of them.

I ran into one that had about 38 alert boxes pop up.
To make them extra annoying, they were spaced out through the document, making it really hard to work on other windows while the page loaded.

Beside the hassle of going through them to check the page, there was the extra hassle to removing them so they wouldn't come up again the next time a mod checked the page.

Alert boxes are cute, the first time. They get tiring real fast, though.
PLease give the mods a break and don't overuse them.

Yes they can be very annoying. I am finding my own annoying!

Alert boxes are quite annoying.They are not annoying if they are meant to greet someone (Just one pop up) or to point out something important (like saying your UP is under construction.).

It's ok to have 2 or 3 alert boxes in my opinions. Having more then that can be quite annoying. If you want to leave a long message, try fitting it all on one box if you can.

i dont like them period : /

I surf the internet and when i see an alert box pop up i panic as it means the computer is sick or i got another bug. I do not like them at all.

the range i had in my UP was 1-2 and all it said was welcome.
