We've all have that that "Wear your helmet" talk at school. Our parents have probably told us too. I never really payed attention much, and most kids probably didn't. I have to say, most kids in my school don't wear helmets. I used to, until kids made fun of me saying it was geeky to wear a helmet. So I stopped, and heres what happened.

A few days ago I was riding my bike home from school, and I wasn't wearing my helmet. I must have caught something, and I fell face first on to the sidewalk. Luckily I was hear my house, and my neighbors came and took me inside. My nose is all red and disgusting. My forehead was bleeding and my knee was scraped. I got lucky, I could of seriously hurt myself. I'm okay, but there are some serious things I have to go through. At school people make fun of me because of my nose, which will take a few weeks to fully heal. I have to go to my first dance like this, and my friends big birthday party. Its not fun. If I wore my helmet, Only the tip of my nose would of been hurt. Please, please learn from my mistake. Just wear a helmet, and this will never happen to you.

Wow kids are crule these days...But dont let kids bother you about your nose, if you had not listened to the kids about you wearing a helment that would have never happened, you need to learn not to care what others says.

Last summer my friend rode her bike up the steepest hill in our town with her grandpa and siblings. Some cars have trouble getting up that hill.It is REALLY steep .
She was going down the hill and the brakes were broken.She couldn't stop the bike.The bike flipped forward and stopped.Luckily she was wearing a helmet.
Her knee was cut open and she had to get stitches.She now has a large scar on her knee cap but luckily that was the only damage done.Her helmet was dented so badly that it could not be worn again.If she had not been wearing her helmet she would have died or had brain damage.So remember wear your helmet.
And yes even though people tease they only do it to make themselves feel good.Just ignore them.

i wish my helmet fits me, but of course, too small.

You see, we are around places with bob catz and desert wild life, in a way, and LOTS of hills.My cousin got hurt b cause she didnt have a helmet on and she rolled down a steep hill. Luckily, she only got cut by thorny plants and ran into a poison oak bush.

thats sad I just ignore what ppl say and just wear it :)
