I was just watching a show in Travel Channel, and it shows secrets about MK, Ecopt, WDW, AK, and DMGM.

MK: This is one of the oldest theme parks. They used about 24,000 acers for it. Motels, resturaunts, hotels, ect were in the way. So they planned a secret plot at a secret place and built it. News said they spent money for nothing. Once it released, it was the most popular place. To represent the MK, they used Cinderella's Castle. There was suppose to be a hotel room in CC, but it is impossible.

FACT of MK: CC is actually made out of steal and fiber glass.

Ecopt: They spent more than a billion dollars on it! It is two times bigger than MK. Once it opened, it wasn't as popular. One of the creator's niece was upset because NO THRILL RIDES! Later, the newest hit, Test Track, was the attention of Ecopt. Then Mission Space released. Soon it became the biggest Theme Park ever!

FACT: As you can see M.S has a mild side, and an origanal ride. They soon made hotels. If you look closely, you see the GFP!

Animal Kingdom: Soon came SeaWorld. Disney Staffs tried there best to make more people come to Florida. So they created AK. Usually, it is just mecanical animals, but this time they used real animals. The new quest, Thrill Seeker, happens to have a ride using the Kali.

FACT: As you can see, the AK is much like SW, but bigger.

DMGM: Universal Studios opened where DMGM planned, they decided to make a studio. But only two thrill rides. Disney Staffs soon asked George Lucas about Star Wars.

[Lucas:] If I would work for any company, it would be Disney! They created Star Tours. More rides like Indiana Jones, Tower of Terror, ect. Which made every Disney acctraction popular.

FACT: Tower of Terror is also knowns as Twighlight Zone.

GFP: Grand Floridan Pin

DMGM: Disney`s MGM

Hard To Believe!: In Epcopt, every last night there is a fireworks shoe. About 8 fireworks shoot at once. Then, there is inferno blast! There is a spinning globe that shows different scenery.

Oh, I LOVE Illuminations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot...

BUT:

Holiday Wishes at Magic Kingdom park is still my all time favorite fireworks display at Walt Disney World

hey bestdudeskater. these are all great facts. this good be a good compliment to the "Facts of DLR" thread. but i just wanted to correct a few mistakes. and if my corrections turn out to be mistakes, someone else please correct them.

MK: This is one of the oldest theme parks. They used about 24,000 acers for it. Motels, resturaunts, hotels, ect were in the way. So they planned a secret plan at a secret place and built it. News said they spent money for nothing. Once it released, it was the most popular place. To represent the MK, they used Cinderella's Castle. There was suppose to be a hotel room in CC, but it is impossible.

i don't understand what you're saying here, but i think its supposed to be the story about why and how walt bought the land in florida for disney world. i'm tired and i'm sure someone else can go into more detail but the basic gist of it is:

-walt ran out of room in anaheim
-the area around disneyland had also at the time become really seedy
-he vowed that his new venture would not produce the same results
-he bought huge parcels of land in florida using fake companies
-local government and land owners found out it was disney buying the land so they upped the price
-walt disney died
-walt disney world opened
-roy disney died

FACT of MK: CC is actually made out of steal and farbor glass.

i suppose this is a typo, but just incase you don't go around telling people its "farbor" glass, its actually called fiber glass

Animal Kingdom: Soon came SeaWorld. Disney Staffs tried there best to make more people come to Florida. So they created AK. Usually, it is just mecanical animals, but this time they used real animals. The new quest, Thrill Seeker, happens to have a ride using the Kali.

i could be wrong, but i though animal kingdom was built so that it could compete with busch gardens much in the same sense that MGM was built to compete with universal studios. sea worldd could be a possibility as well, i suppose, but animal kingdom seems more similar to busch gardens

DMGM: Universal Studios opened where DMGM planned, they decided to make a studio. But only two thrill rides. Disney Staffs soon asked James Lucas about Star Wars.

it george lucas lol :)

again good facts and good thread bestdudeskater. i'm not correcting you because i want to be a jerk. i just noticed a few mistakes that needed to be corrected. if i ever make a mistake, i welcome a correction with open arms. you can't learn unless you're corrected

Just to let you know WDW is NOT the oldest theme park. Not only is Disneyland older than it but so is Knott's Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain (i think).

Shortly after Walt died, Roy took over Disney World, he changed the title to Walt Disney World as a tribute for his brother to know it was his dream.

there is a unfinished Apartment inside Cinderella's Castle at MK. it was designed for Walt Disney in the same fashion the Firehouse apartment was his. they based this new apartment off of his other new apartment in New Orleans Square at DL. Neither of them were used by anyone.

Currently WDW's is used as a changing room for dancers during castle stage show and storage area.

DL's New Orleans apartment became an extension to club 33 (some of it) and also became the Disney Gallery.

It was Busch Gardens Tampa that prompted the design of Animal Kingdom, not Sea World.(it was to have more thrill rides when it was designed)

most of the information you posted is correct.

I've seen this on the Travel Channel...good show, but I prefer the Modern Marvels episode of WDW. It's longer and I think a bit more interesting.
