Before for Trimester 1, I had 3 A-, 1 A+, 2 A. Now I have 5 A's, 1 A+. Yeah, I think I just studied harder or cause of VMK maybe a little of both. ;)

I started VMK in the summer and had all A's until last report card and got an 89.4 it was in math well dislike (or hate) my teacher she makes me mad!!!!!!!!!!

I can vouch for many of my fellow teachers who have never "hated" a student. We may get annoyed, disappointed, irritated, but "hate" is a strong word.

The question is - Have you given those teachers a reason to not like you? Do you do your best? Have a good attitude? Show up on time?

On the remote chance they DO hate you, behave like angels and get even by making them WORK for reasons not to like you. :happy:

I've NEVER gotten an F on a report card. This year has been an off year because I have a " teacher " who doesn't teach! Dunno if VMK improves grades or not though..

i used to have c's and have a lot of missing assignments but now i keep up with my home work and get a's and be's and improved in social studies and math and english and science!

I think VMK is very addicting though, which could interfere with grades, but not if you don't spend all your time online..:)

I have kept up my grades. VMK has not changed my grades at all.

VMK has had a huge impact making my grades rise! it is always giving me new ideas for papers and stuff like that!

I've always had straight a's in homeroom with a few b's and 2 c's in my entire life! I've always been a good student but VMK had no affect on me

Actually, i have seen this change.

I was a D- and a C- student. I moved up to B+ and A+'s.

This may have been unusual to many of you. But my mom sometimes tells me.
Me: "Mom, im going on the computer"
Mom: "Okay, make sure you go on VMK."

It stranges me.

Quite odd actually. Some people are saying VMK is bringing down their grades, others say it has brought up their grades, while others say their grades are unaffected. I'm not really sure if VMK has brought up my grades or not. Last year, I would get mostly A's with the occasional B, while now I get A's with a rare B. :minniemo: CL_MsFantasyGal

vmk made my grades go down. last year, i have four A's and two B's. then i came back from school from the summer, brain washed by having to say To for two and For for four.... this year i have four C's, one B, and one A.

Well, my grades have gone from high A's to lowers A's, I actually had a high B on my interm report, gasp,.. soo yes VMK has brought down my grades I would say..

I think quitely to myself.. "Hmm I could study.. or I could take a stroll around VMK.. hmm, VMK!"

Not much of a change, maybe I should theorize here...

Many people get their grades lowered because they are spending too much time on VMK, and not spending time studying, or doing their homework thoroughly. (Happened to me with Toontown once, yipes.)

But on the other hand some people's grades improve because maybe they can either use VMK to relax after a tough day, or maybe like me, they work harder so they won't lose it.

It can go either way. Although the first paragraph is a lot easier to get sucked into. I'd try to shoot for the second theory, lol.

Since we're on the subject of grades--congratulations to all those who are getting straight A's! Keep it up!

Anyways, if anything, VMK may cause a few players to notice a decline in their grades. If they spend more time worrying about what the heck is going on in VMK, their schoolwork will pile up eventually. Let's face it folks: school IS and will always BE more important than a computer game. Maybe your parents think differently, but in reality-VMK won't play a part in your adulthood-your performance in school will. VMK won't get you in to college, or get you a nice paying job. As much as you might not like to admit it, what you do now in school (even if you're in elementary school) determines what your life is like past high school-should you choose to complete it....

VMK is, and will be nothing more than a side activity. If you have the time, then by all means go inside the Kingdom. My advice is (if you put VMK before schoolwork) that if you find yourself struggling in a heap of schoolwork, take care of that first. VMK is still going to be thereby the time you get your work done. You may think, "Oh no! There's a new item out that I have to get!" There's a solution to that. Ask someone to pick up an extra and tell them you'll repay them as soon as you get things straightened out.

To sum all this up in about one phrase, school comes first. If you let your school stuff slide out from under you, it's your future that will change because of it-not your future in VMK.

Oranges is right. School is important, even though it seems like VMK is a lot more fun. (And in most cases, including mine, it is.) But still, you have to hang on in school.

Let's compare this to falling off of a cliff.

You slip, and you end up holding onto the side of a cliff.
There are two bars that you can hang onto, VMK, and school.
The VMK bar won't hold you.
The school bar is very strong, more than the VMK bar, but can't hold you alone.

You have to hold onto both. You hold onto one, and you fall. What do you do?

Well, you grab onto the school bar mainly, but still hold onto the VMK bar. Balance them, with school at 90%, and VMK at 10.

Maybe it's because we have to spell everything correctly in vmk. I don't know... Lol.

Grades matter to me a lot. But I am upset from what it's doing to most of us.

lol, i played vmk a lot before, now i just lay back in it for a while. i always for some reason seem to get all A's and one B. it stinks. i play vmk after i do my homework. i get out of school at about 4, get there at 5, do my homework and finish at around 6:30. then i go play out side until about 8. i come inside, eat, then play vmk until 10 :)

I had one B then next I had all a for the year. Pss I had been playing vmk for ever it seems!

Well, I continue to have straight A+'s in every class ( not to brag). VMK definately does NOT improve people's grades. It may improve your social skill though with being able to talk to people. There is nothing in VMK that could improve your grades. I think they should make a new game of intelligence but that most likely won't happen.

As CL_FloridaOranges said, keep those grades up!

My grades have been the same letter since VMK. But they are lower now in percentage, as in a low A verses a High one. I think it changes my grades because of more time on VMK and not being able to focuss lol. I've been tempted to go on VMK before while doing school... (my school is on the computer lol)

I guess I'm around the same, but the most change for me is doing my homework. Most of the time, I go on the fansite after school, then I procrastinate, yadda yadda yadda...then I do my homework. Nevertheless, it's still done on time =P. Same abouts, with my approx. A/A-/B+ work.

Oh, dont make me shake and shiver and bite my nails. My huge tests are next week. A whole, hard week of work. I've seen the timetable - theres more english, thank god for that (English is just my STRONGEST point, I thikn I always get an A+). Good luck, Straw. And DO try your best :(. VMK doesn't improve your social skills or confidence. Before VMK I was somewhat popular, and I still have the same friends, and the same personality, but Im so - well, I feel empty inside. Well it taught me how to spell sorcerer. B/c you have to spell things correctly and I couldn't spell "Sorcerer" but then in VMK I learned and then a few days later it was on a spelling test :oh! And same with Tomorrow lol I thought it was Tommorow but that wasn't on a spelling test.

my grades have been fine only 1 B all the rest A's i got the B in writing bc i am just no good at it lol! I think VMK could be helping ppl bc lets say you have big test coming up and your all nervis but you go on VMK and you clam down ans you study later and you are ok something like that anyway just what i think

Actually there is clear evidence that the mind, like the rest of the body, needs exercise. The playing of games stimulates the brain and helps to improve the brain. Even in people over 80 there is proof that doing jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, logic puzzles or anything else that makes the brain hurt and work will help to improve memory and learning skills while helping to keep what you have already learned in working order.

There is the fear of losing VMK which might be an incentive to do good in school so you do not lose VMK.

Down side is that if you are so into something you can put aside your familiy, chores, job, church, friends, school and other things in life. It is like gambling and you can get addicted to playing a game so much that you think of nothing but that game. When that happens you have to stop or set firm limits. If you yelling at people because they are asking you to do something that interferes with your game play then you addicted.

I think most people who improve is from wanting to stay in VMK or the improve motor skills from playing VMK.

Ok, a little overbaord for saying hate. But she sure dislikes me a ton. And of course she's a teacher who grades by favorites it seems. She even gives Christmas gifts in school to select students. Either way not a good teacher for me.

LOL i doubt they want you to fail if they did they could get fired.Lets say your class got all F's in say Math then the teacher might be fired because you getting F's could mean her/his bad teaching skills

Well i'm in a brand new school which was opened valentines day of this year ( 2006) i am the only one with all A's ( Only two are normal A's the rest have a little +) so i get to speak at the graduation :) grades are A's always have been A's always will be A's

i was a 3.2 person then my grades droped to a 3.0 person NOT EVEN hourn role

Seeing's how i am obsessed with VMK.. my grades i think are going down, lets just wait to see on this report card!!

i know i have looked at this thread many times i just cant remember if i posted so i will :) i have always gotten A's but i have higher A's now that i play vmk because i make sure all of my hw is done and done well so that i can go on vmk.. i make sure i study enough for tests so i dont get the privliage of vmk taken away from me by my parents :)

Getting good grades doesn't exactly have to do with VMK. It matters on how much you listen in class, and figure things out. VMK may have a little to do with working out things in quests, but not much. I would actually think that you need to concentrate more on schoolwork than VMK. This thread right now looks like a thread where people show off their good grades, not exactly about the disscussion we are supposed to be talking about ;)

um, i am homeschooled i do not get report cards but there was one thing that was funny:

my sister was playing VMK when my dad's friend came over and watched my sister play. my sister was hoping that nobody would ask her if she was taken, but people just kept asking her. "so that game is educational?" my dad's friend said. i was laughing in my mind.

if you do not understand what i mean, here is the quick version:

my sister is playing VMK and my dad's friend is watching her. everybody was asking my sister if she was taken. my sister was scared that my dad's friend would tell my sister that VMK is not a good game, but instead he thought that game was educational.

Hmm, I started playing VMK on June 1st, right b4 school ended. My grades are pretty much the same. A in everything but math, I got a B+ in math. I usually get A's, but it's not too much of a difference to me, even though I'm working to get that grade back up.

When I used to play VMK a lot. Nothing really happened.

Hah, let's see. For the past 5 years, I haven't recieve anything lower then an A. My average is like 97 or 98%. Five years of my perfectionism. Seriously I do have this wierd obession with being perfect as far as school goes. I once did a project and it was supposed to be turned in that day but I HAD to make it perfect. I got an extension anyway. My average for our Spanish tests is nothing less than 100%. I'm not lying either. I have not yet missed one.
It still takes me a lot of time to do my homework as perfectly as possible. So I don't have much VMK time. Plus colorguard takes my time. As well as other extracurricular activities. ;)


Oh yeah. I got a letter from the National Honor Roll Society. It was cool that because of my grades I got an opportunity to go to Russia to study there for a few weeks. And one day I got the mail and saw something addressed to my parents about me for the Who's Who book. My mom was trying to keep it a secret from me but... yeah. My brother was in a Who's Who book.
