In the coming weeks more of this rumor will leak out, but current rumors state all the show scenes will be removed and replaced... the ride will keep the same path, maybe new vehicles, but the show scenes will be replaced with a different set... rumor says 25 years of communications rather than "From the dawn of time" communications through the 2000 communications...

Oh is this the one at WDW Epcot? Or is there only one 'Spaceship Earth'? I love that ride.

There is a rumor that is pretty much true that SSE did get a brand new sponser to redo it. I <3 SSE until the ride gets stuck and you have to get out and leave.

Ugh... 25 years of Communication? They should stick with the old sets, and just spice 'em up. Please tell me they are using Animatronics, and not the rumored "Screen techonology"?

Maybe a roller coaster :). That is not even close to being true but that would be sweet. I remember the old downstairs of SSE that was pretty cool. I heard they did get a new sponser i have to look to see who they found.

They studied the roller coaster idea, and rejected it. The structure will not hold the stress, and they have no desire to do anything to Epcot's symbol.

I was very pleased the coaster idea was shelved. Not everything in a Disney park needs to be a thrill ride -- leave that to Six Flags.

LOL you are perfectly right about that one. But a roller coaster idea would be cool but highly unlikely. Thank you for the person who said Siemiens is going to be the new sponser. I thought it was them i just was not sure.

Sorry.. I sometimes forget to name sponsors (I'm used to people knowing all the common knowledge of the rides.. sorry about that)

No Thrills as I said.. It will be the same ride mechanism... (Omni-Mover) and keep the same format.. Just have each scene changed out and replaced with a new updated scene reflecting a different era... but this is only a rumor...
