Just wondering if it is me or are other people having the same problems?

I bought a Quest Kiosk last night and was so excited about creating a quest I got started right away. I worked for an hour and was only able to get three questions done. I got so frustrated with the system I closed out of VMK and went to bed.

My problems were quite a few. I could not get the system to let me set an item for a player to find. I followed the instructions and went to the area where I wanted the item. I dropped it and then hit next and was prompted to give a clue. I typed a very simple clue and clicked next only to have a popup come out saying that I have to make a clue before I can continue. OK I re-wrote the clue. Hit next and get the same messasge then I get dc'd.

Of course I come back and nothing I did is still there so I start over. Same thing. OK now I will skip the droping of an item and make a multiple choice question. I write the question. It is a question that is answered by a number and of course you can not type numbers. So I change the question to something that does not need a number answer. I then type five answers marking the proper one as the correct answer and click next. Guess what? I get a popup stating that I must have at least two answers before I can continue. Good grief. I have five answers except on answer three there is nothing I can type on the line that the dictionary will accept. No matter what I put it goes "red" and will not work. I even tried just typing the word "hi" as that answer choice and it went "red"

I am so frustrated I could scream. If anyone has any idea what I might be doing wrong please offer help. This really should not be this difficult. My goodness I see many people with successful quests so there must be a way.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Asking a CL might help but at the time all I wanted to do was scream. I know I will enjoy it soon and I really like the idea of sharing some of the stuff I have accumulted with other players. Oh well thanks for the kind remarks. I am still looking for assistance if anyone has any.

Thanks

HELP!!!!!!!!!!

ok, you do need to get used to it at first but i can help answer your questions. To Drop An Item You Need To Pick Which I You Want To Hide By Clicking On It. Then You Need To Keep The Quest Set-Up Screen Open And Go To The Room You Want to Set It In. Then IT Says "To Drop The Item Move You Avatar To Where You Want To Put It" Your Avatar Is Your Character So Move Your Character To The Place You Want To Hide The Object. Then Click "Drop" You Will Here A Ding Sound. Then Click Next To Move On. (You Can Hide These AnyWhere In VMK But Will Only Be Able To See Them When On That Task.)

For The Multiple Choice Question Task: Make Sure Your Question/Clue Is Not Showing Up Red Because Of A Mistake. If It Shows Up During The Answers Make Sure You Filled All Of Them In Or Just The First: 1, 2, 3, or 4 Slot. I Do Not Think You Can Fill In Like: 1 , 2 leave 3 empty and then 4, 5. If That Does Not Work Then Read Over The FAQ's On The VMK Homepage. Or Look Over The Quest Set-Up Because I Am Sure It Explains Some Things There As Well. If You Have Anymore Question PM Me Here And I Would Be Glad TO Help Or Find Me In VMK. I ususally Have My Quest Open.

Also, sometimes this happens to me when i put stuff in room description, when you said hi it turned in red. Well sometimes if im editing my room description, and I put to and a together so it would be like toa it would obviously show up in red, then when I seperate them it would still show up in red. That just happens sometimes but then I ignore it and press edit room description and it would accept it. So maybe its the same case with when you wrote hi.

I did not think of that. I have also had that happen in a room description. Will check it out later.
