Lizzie McGuire was a popular Disney Channel live action television show. Its target demographic was preteens and teenagers. The TV show was created by Terri Minsky. The show's creatively offbeat, mixed media format stood out from the rest of the Disney Channel's programming - and in essence, became the channel's flagship show of its time, and a definitive show of the early 2000s. The show's producer Stan Rogow says the visual look of the show was partly inspired by Run Lola Run.

Question!
I think we can all about say we fell in love with Hilary Duff from this show, and her acting career is at a tremendous sucess along with her singing. My question to you guys is out of all the characters, and not able to choose Lizzie, which was your favorite?

I just learned that Lizzie McGuire, along with Even Stevens will "live on" in syndication... when it joins the lineup of the cable station WGN this fall...

Here's the article...

"In a first for original Disney Channel series, Lizzie McGuire and Even Stevens will live on in syndication, as Superstation WGN secured the exclusive rights to the tween-targeted shows.

Beginning this fall, WGN will begin airing Lizzie, starring actress and singer Hillary Duff, and Stevens, starring Shia LaBeouf and Christy Carlson Romano, weekdays during the early-fringe daypart, as well as on weekends.

Negotiated by distributor Buena Vista Television, WGN acquired all three seasons -- 65 installments apiece -- of both shows. Deal-term specifics were not disclosed, but sources familiar with the negotiations said The Walt Disney Co. properties didn't retain any barter inventory. However, Disney does retain the shows' rights for other vehicles and platforms, according to the sources.

Officials at WGN, now available in some 68 million cable and satellite homes, said the superstation will run the shows back-to-back, along with Moesha, Home Improvement and AFV, as part of its family-entertainment block.

"Advertisers are consistently asking for objection-free programming, and the addition of the award-winning Lizzie McGuire and Even Stevens to Superstation WGN's pre-dinner entertainment block further enhances our comprehensive, family-friendly lineup," Superstation WGN general manager Bill Shaw said in a prepared statement. "These programs target tweens and teens, but they are still very popular among the entire family."

thnis show ended after the movie because of disney and her manager not getting along.. (wanted more money for the TV shows) because of this they did not continue with the proposed highschool years of the show... (different series technically.. lol)

spin offs might be good, if they are done right...

I don't think there's a single person I know who doesn't like Lizzie McGuire. I think my favorite character besides Lizzie, would have to be either Gordo or Miranda.

I relly liked Gordo. He was the smoot and calm one that no one really noticed. But he was a really cool guy. It would be so cool if Lizzie and Gordo were Bf and Gf. That we be weird, but cool.

Gordo was for sure my favorite. My DAD was a bigger fan of this show than me. In the final episdoe, in the graduation from High School picture, Lizzie leaned over and kissed Gordo on the cheek, so I suppose in the end they finally kissed. I personally liked the Lizzie Movie, which was put in theaters, but I believe should have just been on Disney Channel.

Sorry for bringing this thread back from the bottom.

I really think they should make a spin-off. If they don't... well, thats life. I never watched the movie, but i'm planning to. I don't think they will make a spin-off about miranda's little bro or sis. It just dosen't seem like it would happen.

Besides Lizzie . . .It have to be Miranda her best friend.

Hilary duff became famous because of that show and I totally started listening to her music.

But as for the show, It was alright but it now just gets on my nerves After so long of being cancelled, Disney should remove it and add a new show.
