Disney's Newest Show, Hannah Montana!

The series premiere scored record ratings for Disney Channel, "an unbelievable response — beyond our wildest expectations," according to the president of Disney Channel Entertainment Gary Marsh most likely due to its lead-in from DCOM "Cow Belles". In its second week, ratings dropped 40% according to Nielson Ratings which is cause for concern within Disney. Within the next few months, a strong Hannah Montana push is going to be felt on the Disney Channel in order to save this show from becoming a miss. The target audience is in range from ages 6-14.

Question for you guys
1.) So I think the easiest question for this show, is what do you guys think about it? Do you think Disney has a good idea for this show, or is it going to be another wash out?

It's pretty good.I'll watch it till their are no more episodes.Then I'll watch the reruns.I think Disney had a good idea for this show and I think the ratings for the show will go back up after a few more episodes.

I think its good too. Me and my little sister watch it. Its her favorite show now :)

It's good, could be better if they didn't sound to rehearsed.

I love the Hannah Montana show!! It's one of my favorite shows now! It's so funny and I'll watch it until there's no more reruns!

Miley's not the best actress, but over all I really like the show! The whole alter ego/secret identity thing is such a great idea! With all the stalkerazzi there are today I think any future celebs should actually do this. I know if I ever became a professional singer I would opt to have a stage name and a diff look too. Being mobbed in public doesn't sound fun to me! So back to the topic, I really like this show! I hope it makes it! I can't wait for the CD to come out this summer either.

i watch it and like it. it is a good and funny show.i kinda like the openening song.

Umm... I never really liked Lizzie, but I would hardly call it washed out. It lasted 63 episodes which is pretty standard for a Disney Channel contract.

You know what? When I first saw the preview commercial for Hannah Montana, I looked at with with a cynical point of view, something like.."Disney Channel is going farther down the tubes." (Excuse my language, I'm a disney girl at heart but that doesn't mean I have to LOVE the television station) It was almost like one of those "oh those whippersnappers don't know anything!" point of view, because I was around when most disney shows were so fun and interesting. Be it said...I didn't even bother watching the first episode when it aired.

However, recently they had that whole.."Hannah Montana Memorial Day Marathon," and I sat down and watched all the episodes. What a big wake up call! I thought the show was great! It was cute, funny, and somehow I think it taps into every girl's fantasy about living life as a rock star, haha. Granted, the singing and actings not all that great, but it somehow works.I have to say...I'm impressed.
