I heard from a friend that High School musical 2 is going to be about a talent search at Ryan and Sharpay's house. I'm not sure if it's true or not but this is what i heard.

High School Musical 2 is the sequel to the Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical, set to be released sometime in 2007 (tentatively January 19th), although rumors suggest Disney is trying to move up the release date to sometime this fall.Plot As of yet, all that has been revealed is that it will be a talent show held over the summer

Personally I dont think there will be a new one and if there is not for a while now cause they'v been sayin stuff about chetah girls 2 comin out so if theres a 2 for dis then it wont be out till like next year at the least

srry i sometimes have to keep all in not out but you have a point remember in number 1 on the day of the call backs the basketball team got those letter shirts and Ryan sounded like he had an IQ of a squirrel!!

There is also going to be a High School Musical 3. It will also be a musical tour also. Disney is trying to cash out on it while its still "in"

Well I hear the movie is coming out in the summer 2007 and I think the tryouts will be around winter or Autumn I doubt during the Summer that is too soon and also I don't think they finished plotting it yet :) and I agree with star..
