I started a different Comedy Club schedule thread a few days ago, but in my infinite lack of foresight I put a specific date in the subject line. So, I've decided to start a new generic thread to post a schedule for the Comedy Club each night (or whenever I plan to be online and hosting).

Schedule for Friday, June 10th: I plan on hosting the Comedy Club tonight from 8 PM until around 9:30 PM (West Coast time). I may start earlier though as long as MrsGenie doesn't have any complaints. :) Hope to see you there! My apologies in advance if there is a wait...

Schedule for Saturday, June 11th: I plan on hosting the Comedy Club tonight from 7 PM until around 9:30 PM (West Coast time).

Retrospective Comment Re: Sunday, June 12th: I was not planning on opening the Comedy Club on Sunday. However, I was experimenting with the teleporters in my theater, and the room filled up in about a minute (I forgot to add "CLOSED!" to the room name :)). I attempted to run a few rounds of the Comedy Club while I was messing around with the teleporters, but needless to say I was too distracted to do a decent job (at one point I left Mickeyandlilo in charge since she had been begging to help the whole time, but when I came back five minutes later, she wasn't there anymore and complete anarchy had broken out. :eek: Perhaps she had a connection problem...although if she just decided to turn and flee, that's not too different from what I was trying to do with the teleporters so no hard feelings. :)) For those of you who stopped by the Club on Sunday, sorry the show was kind of short and crazy.

Schedule for Monday, June 13th: I need to do a few other things online, and I want to help some people try to get their Pirate pins (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=462) too, but I will plan on hosting the Comedy Club tonight for about an hour tonight between 8:00 - 9:00 PM PST. Bring your best material!

Tuesday, June 14th: Comedy Club was officially closed tonight. Sorry for not posting earlier. A few of you may have seen me in the room rearranging furniture getting ready for a new type of show tomorrow...

Wednesday, June 15th - Saturday, June 18th: Comedy Club will be "dark" for a few more days; I'll be using the theater for a different type of show on Wednesday, and then I have some offline activities competing for my interests through the weekend. Should give you plenty of time to come up with some new material! :) (heh, me too).

Sunday, June 19th: Although I didn't announce it ahead of time, I spontaneously opened the Comedy Club for about an hour on Sunday night because I was feeling jolly about getting the fireworks pin.

Monday, June 20th: No Comedy Club tonight. I am going to a party after work to hang out with a former co-worker who is back in town. I'll probably get on later about an hour before closing though, so keep your eye out for me (I'll be the one swerving :)).

Tuesday, June 21st: COMEDY CLUB WILL BE OPEN! By the time Tuesday rolls around, this thread will probably be sufficiently buried again that none of you will read my schedule [not true anymore...thanks for the sticky!], but MrsGenie is getting home from work late so you know what that means: McDonald's for MrGenie! :D Well, besides that, it means I should have the Comedy Club up and running for at least a few hours. I'm planning on running the Club from 6 PM to 8 PM (West Coast time), although I'll need to leave promptly at 8 PM since I'm also running a Fireworks magic pin event (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=651)...hope you can make it! If you come, please bring some jokes...it's been a little slow lately. ;)

Wednesday, June 22nd: Didn't run the Comedy Club tonight since I had my hands full running my new Tic-Tac-Toe game (wish I could figure out a way to be more than one place at the same time!).

Thursday, June 23rd: Probably won't have the Comedy Club open since I'm planning on watching Game 7 of the NBA Finals...the first Game 7 in 11 years!

I've enjoyed running this little scheduling blog for the past few weeks, and I appreciate the sticky from Silly Princess. However, now that I am also running the Tic-Tac-Toe game, Late Night, and fireworks events in addition to the Comedy Club, I think it makes more sense for me to only announce when I am planning on opening the Comedy Club and not making a comment when I am not. In addition to the times listed in this thread, I may spontaneously open the Comedy Club; however, I will continue to announce all premeditated Comedy Club shows in this thread. Thanks!

I'm coming back, but I'm not doing my joke again. It totally bombed. I think the crowd was a little younger than I anticipated, and I'm pretty sure they took it literally. There is just no appreciation for the double entendre. I thought I might get lynched!

LOL, sorry about that...I think I asked you to tell your joke, but then I went AFK for a few minutes and left you hanging. In hindsight, it's probably for the best that we avoid those types of jokes, but I take responsibility for putting you up to it again. Thanks for the kind words, dizneydesi. I will say that I am pleasantly surprised at how well the Comedy Club has taken off this week, but I don't really equate that with me being popular. Really, it's all of you up on stage and in the audience that provide the entertainment, and I'm just as entertained as anyone I think (the one perk I get is a guaranteed seat! :)).

For those of you who have waited in line to get into the Comedy Club, I am sorry you had to wait, and I hope it was worth it when you made it in. You never know quite what you're going to get since anyone can get up on stage at the Comedy Club! While I will never resort to "booting" people from the Comedy Club to make room for any other VIP/friend/guest, I do try to make sure that the people in the room are participating in a friendly way and are not distracted with some other activity because I know there are usually people waiting in line to get in. Just because it cracks me up (and not to make an example out of anyone), check out what happened to MrLunatix below while he was busy playing Lego Star Wars! :)

I got caught sleeping in the club tonight. Sorry.

I just got in when the baby started crying, so ran off to deal with that for a little bit. When I came back, I was the only one in the room. I hope nobody said anything nasty about me, and I appreciate not being booted. I left the room clean when I left :-)

Sorry again. I wasn't trying to find a place to sleep, it just worked out that way.

Thanks! Really, I owe an extra special thanks to all of you who have stopped by over the past few weeks and made the Comedy Club such a fun place for me to hang out. I'm sure I never would have gotten the pin if I just sat in the empty theater by myself and told jokes to the squid. ;) So, thanks!

Very funny SpinMarty lol. I agree the whole boy friend girl friend VMK thing is wacked. One girl even came to me yesterday (DEAD SERIOUS) named lolyouarecool and was asking to have it with people. Then she described it. I called VMK Staff and like three people came and they ban her! Pretty cool
