From what the description shows, it should be open. Please be sure not to post the answers for it, as he doesn't like it and will close the quest if you do so.

I just got booted out! and I don't know why :( I clicked on the quest and the screen came up and then I was booted.

I got in and when I was about to start the quest i got booted?!

Anyone know why he was booting us?

um, dont even bother doing the quest.

it took me 15 mins to get into his room cuz he wasnt int here booting people, which caused me not to be one of the firsts (though i was in line in enough time to do it) and the prizes are all gone so its useless to even try.

awe... no more prizes...
there seems to be a bug booting us for trying to start a quest with no prizes...

i want my hr back, at least there could have been credits or something as a prize but no, i just had to do the most difficult quest ever and not win do to: DISCONNECTING........im furious right now.

he boots people so other people could get in it is a very difficult quest and people can't just stay in his room because other people need to get in also so try and understand i had been booted twice and i am okay

Yavn did say you don't have to be in his room to do the quest once you have loaded it from his machine. That may be why he booted you.
Also the quest has a time limit, mine just ran out. Didn't see anythig about being booted or running out of prizes, and his room is still there, although it no longer says quest.
Play if you can, it's really fun and a good example of how to run your own quest.

Sorry! Was not trying to be rude, just wanted to let people in who were finishing the quest. You do not need to be in the start room to answer questions and as you can see from the other posting people were waiting to finish.

I did ask everyone to exit the room to play but people did not listen.

The real question is are you interested in just the prize? The point of the quest was to have fun and quest. A few won a prize, the rest had fun.

Yes lots of good learning here (yes even we are still learning how to make a great quest). I will make some changes and bring it back soon!

Can I suggest u something? next time make the first task to be out of the room so everybody has a chance to go back to the room when needed. I was there as soon you started the quest, did everything fast and went back and u boot me as i just got in then waited to be back and nothing was there.

the quest was not too difficult for me. i knew it was an expert quest when i started it. i finished it as well with a fairly decent time btw. all in all i think it could have been more difficult if you wanted. i feel insulted that you would even say that to me honestly....


the most difficult part was returning back to your room and getting disconnected several times which in all honesty, i felt was not fair. that is why i want my hr back.


and no, i was not interested in just the prize, i am also hurt that you would assume that about me.

however i do think that there should have been a small reward for the first 20 or so players, even if it was just 100 credits. or at least a way to tell once the first 3 had completed it, to know i could continue for fun if i wanted or quit if it were true that i only wanted the prize.

i do understand why many players are upset, and i agree with them and feel i am right on this one.

You are right on that one, I get really nervous when I'm playing things against the clock but now I'm relaxed and I know that this was the first quest so there are going to be problems no matter what.

i dont really want my hr back, its just a phrase implying i feel like i could have been doing something more valuable with my time and feel i cheated out of an hr of my life.

I didn't quite make it in time, the line to the room was long but I think that was a fantastic quest! I loved the questions! Great Work Yavn, can't wait to try the next! :D

I realized that people have been blaming others, not only on this thread, but on others as well, because of the boot, to be rude (even though some later apologized), but I can't see what is rude part of not letting people access your personal private space in the game, which you will deal with yourself and how you want it to be dealt with as long as it is within the VMK Values. I don't think we need a written invitation to boot or not to boot. A clear example would be, lets say you are in your bedroom doing homework, and suddenly someone pops in, so you ask him/her to leave, would you consider that rude? Or lets say you are trying to organize your bedroom, so as it is more comfortable for people to be in, and someone comes in in the middle of your work, would you consider that being rude? From my point of view, I don't think this is rude at all, as it is your own personal space and you do with it whatever you want as long as it follows the rules.

I agree karo and it was stated in a past newsletter that the OWNER not the player decides who is allowed in and who isn't. If you are booted do not report them or get angry because the OWNER has that right.

Yavn's quest was HARD! yet oddly entertaining...

I just finished it, I had to look up a lot of stuff on wikipedia LOL. I hope he doesn't mind. All I looked up was about the WDW attractions, (A lot of which to no avail, lol.) but it was quite fun. A lot of stumpers and a trick question or too, as well. My head hurts now... but it's a good hurt :) and I got an everest hat out of it, too (albeit an everest hat that I had to pay for, but... oh well. now I can confirm I don't look good in it, instead of just thinking it and possibly missing out on a nice hat LOL.)

EDIT: just got a message saying the quest was over. I was in Rank 115 with approximately 20 minutes, which I assume means I was 114 people behind the fastest time. Not bad :)

LOL me too!!! Other people in the room were spelling it right and it didn't occur to me that I wasn't. I did it again in 4 mins but now people are doing it in under 2 mins. Guess I will try again tomorrow
