Yes, you must complete the space mountain quest to get the suit. Then you can go into the inner-space room. BTW, the exit in the rocket ship goes to the star traders shop. :)

You need space magic. Complete quest, but first you need both diver and autopia.

Another hint - once you have space magic, you need to be in the upper level of the Inner-Space Shrinking Machine Room. Get near the entrance and activate your space pin. Then quickly click somewhere in outer space. If you wait too long, the space suit will deactivate and you will have to wait for it to recharge again before trying. Unlike the diving suit (which will eventually run out of air), the space suit seems to last indefinetely.

A little history lesson for those wondering what this shrinking machine is all about:

Disneyland used to have an attraction called Adventure through Inner Space. Looked alot like the room on VMK. You got on the ride and it appeared to those waiting in line that you magically shrunk in size. If I remember right, the music from the ride is now the music you hear in the eyeball room. Brings back a lot of memories. The ride was removed in the mid 80's & was replaced with the Star Tours attraction.

Personally, I was very happy to see this old ride included in Tomorrowland. Now if they only had the PeopleMover... :D
