I think that VMK should stay open at all hours and have people switch out the jobs to let us play!!!!!!!

I think this goes with the reality that even VMK closes like the parks do. In a way i think its brilliant in another I think its annoying.

Well for right now they use the off time to fix stuff and test things - so right now for the beta it's a good thing.
It'd be smart, once the game is open, to have it 24 hours so people all over can get on without time zone issues. I'm sure they'll do that once the beta is over.

Well Along with Beta, Crashes- Login Problems, and GLitches will occur and something i think we forget about Beta, is while its awesome VMK is out, we has Beta testers still have to do our job, by reporting bugs and glitches. other wise nothing will get fixed.

I wish it could stay open till 2 AM CEntral TIme at least. i get home at 11 every night. and its only 1 hour for me to play.

For ppl like me that live in Engalnd it is unfair bc it opens at 4pm (BST) so we dont have a lot of time bc in the school holidays we wait for quite a while for it to open.

Should Vmk be open for 24 hours and sometimes close for a little while to make new things like costumes or rooms?

No not really, if it was open 24/7 some players who go on night mostly scammers would scam at night since some staff is tired and really can't do much.

i would adree but i live east and i am 3 hours behind so i have to wait a while but i live for vmk i think they should but even staff should get sleep if it is always open:lol:

yes i agree with everyone here. I myself am thinking of donating a server and some money to open earlier.

No because that might encourage Kids to stay up later adn be tired the next day or something. School.

I'll post this again. It's important for VMK to be moderated for everyone's safety. Now if Disney had to employ enough moderators to be open all the time, then VMK wouldn't be able to be a free site anymore. They would have to charge players in order to make up for the money they were having to pay the moderators. So I realize the hours dont' fit everybody. But it is what it is and we should be grateful that we can all have a good time on this free site.

It would be nice to have it open 24 hours but like the others are saying I don't think that'll be a possiblility. But Disneyland is open 24 hours whether the public comes in or not, because the workers (whether they are night shift or not) have to work on the rides for the next day. So there can be a possibility of having vmk open 24 hours. But don't you think that might be a little harsh on the workers?

It is possible for VMK to open 24 hours a day... Some people here seem to talk as if Disney in the parks and in the VMK central within the parks are the staff and patrol VMK from the parks itself...

Like habbo hotel (same makers as VMK) moderators are paid to work from home on their own computers... The only reason VMK closes is because there has to be staff from home working at all opening hours.

It all comes down to money.... Sulake (creators) dont want to have to pay more for vmk to open more hours I guess.. :( If VMK hired more staff aka mods then it would be awesome! :) There is barely enough as it is, lol.

Open all weekend, that's the best idea I've heard so far and I think it has the best chance to happen. As long as VMK stays free, I don't see Disney spending the money to keep it open 24 hours everyday.

VMK will probably never ever be open all day because of many reasons. you have to think about the staff... they have another life outside vmk working and i do not think they would want/have the time to work in vmk all day. and plus how many people really would be up at early morning??? us EST have it closing at 1 AM and there are only around 2,500-3,000 ppl on. and if they kept it open all day, there is a great chance of nobody or a couple of people being on. so i do not think vmk will ever open all day 24/7

Hello?? I Posted This A Few Days Ago

I would absolutely LOVE VMK open at night. I get home from work late (3am)and need to unwind...what better way to do that than to play VMK! Especially when I try to play during the day and get SERVER IS TOO BUSY or I am dc every time I try to go into a different room. Does anyone else have a problem in the Music Game room with the error screen coming up and says SORRY VMK HAS CRASHED PLEASE LOG ON AGAIN?!? I get this almost every time I try to play a song!!!

Because we all have to log into VMK with our registered e-mails from the Disney.com site, maybe they can put an age limit on an "after-hours" time for VMK. There are many adults that play the game, that way it can fit into our schedules as well as the school aged children.

I also think adjusting the hours for those people in other countries would be a great idea as well.

What's funny was, I remember goofing off in beta, when this thread was created, but my-oh-my, how things have changed. I regret almost nothing I do in VMK, not because what I do is great, but because it can nip you in the ### later on:

-Not getting Sorcerer Mickey Hat
-Not getting HM Clock
-Not taking advantage of the easy lines and open space to try for BGR.
-Not being at the event to get Inferno

But remember, even though we have regrets, we *virtually* live through it. It's what we must do with the VMK times, as well. The only way to fix timezone problems is to accord it so that each player is only allowed in during 7:00-10:00, their time. Four Problems, though:

-VMK would have to have credit card registration, to prove residence (if kids, parents must do so)
-Thus, VMK would be mostly adults
-Players who live in Hong Kong would never play with kids in London, seeing as their time is almost a full 12 Hour difference (I think)
-VMK would have to put in MUCH time and LOTS of money just to get that 'project' underway, killing our staff-hosted events due to time shortage.

Just giving you something to think about...

i say i like the current system of vmk being open only during certain hours of the day. if it stayed open all night, the only games you would be able to do would be the credits games and vmk would have to hire staff to be around at all times. i like it the way it is because if vmk was open all night long. i would be staying up until all hours everyday, but randyman is right alot of things have changed since beta, why not change again. come to think about it, vmk 1st birthday is coming up and i wonder what they have planned.

I say yes to the people who are over seas, and the current VMK hours don't work well for them. I say no to the people live in Florida, and just want it to be open 24 hours so they can play at 3 in the morning.

hi i live in a place of magical wonder(more like WV don't remember that) and here VMK opens when we are at school so i would like it if VMK could just open at 6:10 am and close at 1:00 am here in the east coast west coast would be 3:00 am to 10 pm just a for hour extra would be good for me.

I dissagree with it closing so early for me, It's so annoying..!

No its a horrible idea, sorry to say. But, I say that because if it were open all day, you would get no sleep, no rest for school, you would probably fall asleep during school. And there would be no adult supervision, so there's bigger chance for more violence and for you to get scammed.
