I have done search on this board about how to do this and I did not find anything on the subject so please don't get mad at me if there was a post about this subject.

What I was wondering if there was any helpful information about how to make your guest room/game more popular, such as getting on the Popular Guest List so that more people can just click to enter instead of having to search your avtars name to find the room.

I would just like to know about insider information about this subject because I have only been able to play one game of falling chairs of not even full capacity, so if anyone can help me on this subject I will be very thankful.

Well race games are poupular.

keep inventing twists on the game and invite your friends over and over.

i have not had a popular room yet, so. .. but i do think there is a thred or two on plaer created mini games. that might help . :pirate:

I don't think this has been specifically covered, although I think if you look at the forum on user-greated mini-games, there are a lot of hints there. In addition, if you look at the rooms people talk about, they will usually say which ones are very popular.

For starters, remember that your friends will see your room listed on the "Friend's Room" tab if there are people in it. So having more friends can help them find you easier. I have pretty much given up on the popular rooms list, and instead rely on the friends room list or seeing where my friends are and joining them there. Sometimes I will browse the popular list, but it is more rare. Being on that list isn't always good - many full rooms may crowd out the not quite as full rooms, and sometimes people give up if there is a crowd.

I know it is common for people to send mail to their friends to invite them. I find it really annoying, however, when all that mail says is "come here". No indication why, not even an indication where. A good mail that I think will bring people should be along the lines of "I am starting a game of foo, can you come here if you have a chance?"

And now, for the "obvious, but not" answer to your question:

You can make your room more popular by getting more people there.
You can get more people there by making something that they will want to do when there.
People will not come, or will not stay, if they aren't interested in what is happening there.

Well, I don't mean to sound highly critical, but just from what you've told me I'm not sure I would have come either. There are lots of places to play falling furniture, and all of them are mostly the same from what I can see. Some people don't like the game. Perhaps you can find something different or unique about the game? Perhaps a different game (race games are popular now, for example, but I'm sure that popularity will peak soon)? Or a clever twist or theming for a game?

Bottom line: Make something that everyone will want to come to, and everyone will come.

I made my trade room popular by going in early when VMK first opens. My roonm even had a line!

I have gotten on the popular room list by 1. asking all friends 2. ask one friend stay in room 3. go to a room on the popular list and ask the people there to come to your room. give them lots of hints but don't tell them what the room is about! just make them curious!
that's my way! doesn't always work but i have gotten on the popular room list a couple times by doing it! also creating something new always sparks attention! there are too many room fads! people like new things!
