I've been there..Yes, there have been a few deaths. No worries, if you follow the rules, you will be fine...The deaths occured mostly because people didn't follow instructions.

Ok, I live near Great Adventure, and I have been there a lot.

1. Don't Ride the new KingdaKa ride. The lines get up to 8 hours for that ride. It's the tallest and fastest in the world.( It just re opened from a cable blow out. So expect the lines to be up to 11 hours, But the thing is. The ride is so popular. When it first opened, The lines were 13 hours long. And Great Adventure is only open for 12 hours.)

2. Most of the lines in the park go from 1-2 hours a day. Condisdering its August. It might be a 1:30 for each ride. And maybe 2 - 3 hours for the water rides. Great Advenutre is really popular.

3. Once you get into the park. It will be likely that everyone heads to the new section ( The Golden Kingdom ) which is to the Left as you first walk in. IMO, you should head to the right of the park first. It's easier to get on rides that way. Without waiting.

4. There are a lot of good rides. If you love coasters. Nitro, Medusa, And Superman Ultimate Flight would be my pick. If you like getting a headache. Ride Viper or the Great American Scream Machine. If you like water rides, I think you should go on those right as you get into the park. If its hot out your looking at very long lines. And if you like Slow rides, try the log flume or Blackbeard's Treasure or something like that.

5. Enjoy your day.

Hoep that helps.

I live 30 min from Six Flags Great Adventure and have this to say.

IT IS NOT DISNEYWORLD OR DISNEYLNAD AND FAR FROM IT
LINES ARE NOT AS LONG DURING THE WEEK,
STAY AWAY FROM THURSDAY TO SUNDAY AND ALL SUNNY DAYS!
DO NOT RIDE KINGDA KA
LINES ARE ALWAYS MORE THAN 30 MIN. FOR ROLLER COASTERS
AFTER 7PM ON A WEEKDAY THE LINES ARE 30 MIN TOP EXCLUDING THE NITRO AND KINGDA KA.
IT IS EXTREMELY DIRTY AND DOES NOT IMPRESS ME AT ALL!

Joeyespn, that's called yelling and is not allowed on the forums.

Well, if you haven't left already, have a great time! And Kingda Ka is shut down anyways, if you do not know why, PM me. Kind of scary to put on the boards.

Today, i went to Six Flags Marine World. It's just a 40-minute drive from San Francisco. For me, it's a 2 minute ride, and we get free parking. First, when me and my family entered Marine World, we head straight directly to Ocean Discovery, where we can touch animals like dolphins, and Manta Rays. I touched a manta ray and it was awesome. After that, we went to the Ferris wheel, and we saw amazing sights like the Roller Coasters: Roar, Medusa, V2, Zonga, Kong, and Boomerang.

After the wheel, we had a 30-45 minute rest, then we headed to the games plaza, where we win prizes. My dad got 1 Scooby Doo doll after winning Whack a pirate, and i won a Scooby Doo doll as well after playing the same game my dad did. Then, we started going into the Boomerang area, where during the walk, I rode Monkey Business, and for my first time, Jambo, it's not that bad but expect to be Very Dizzy when you lie down. Finally, we reached Boomerang, and me and my dad rode it and it was twisted. Soon after that, i went to ride the small, but fun roller coaster, Cobra at least 5-6 times. Then we took the 2:00 PM tram back to the parking lot, and here i am.

Today, was awesome, and i hope i come back again.

PS: Wait a minute, i got a season pass, so i go in anytime i want! LOL

Cobra (on non busy days has practically no wait. One time the guy said, "If you want to ride again find a seat with an empty gate beside it." BEST Experience ever. Roar makes me look weird. Everytime on the pics outside the ride I always have this "Face". Never rode Zonga. Everytime I have been there (about 5 times this season) it has not been open. =(

I wanna go on Skycoaster. :]

On a Good note: I heart the five dollar Sno-Cones.

I live 30 minutes away from Six Flags Darien Lake. Don't ride anything if you don't want to die. lol. Last death there was on the Superman coaster. A fat guy fell out of the restraint. He was too fat for the seat! rofl!
