I was bored today so I decided it was free goofy hat sunday, I bought 50 goofy hats and walked all around VMK asking if anyone wanted a free hat. I saw 8 or 9 sets people arguing, two were rude to me because I was giving away a hat they did not like??? And twice I walked into a room where staff had already handled a situation and were leaving. I will admit I don't spend a lot of time in common areas but is that the norm?

on my game also people like that, if i give prizes they saying its not good and they want more, and i dont do that so they saying to everyone i give bad prizes, but even if i run out of prizes they still like to play.want to have that instead?

Alot of ppl are like that in VMK; ungrateful and just plain mean. But are also alot of nice people of VMK who will help and be very polite. Just like in the real world; you get ppl who are mean, and ppl who are nice;) Dont let it discourage you from playing VMK:D

Yes, unfortunately, it is pretty much like that on vmk. People now have no respect for others and the language seen here is enough to make the hairs stand up on your arms. People get with the program.

There must have been a lot of people yesterday who got up on the wrong side of the bed. Within the first hour of VMK opening, I had reported two people (one a guest and one a titled player) who were calling others a name, threatening them, and generally just being ugly to others. Both disappeared and VMK said that the situation had been handled. There is just no reason to act like this. However, that being said, I find that all of the good people in VMK make it all worthwhile!

Aww that is a shame. I actually try to find new guests and give them pins just to make them feel welcome. I have to admit certain areas of VMK it appears people are always fighting or just acting inappropriately.

If people are grumping in rl life, they are grumpy on vmk... There real people everyone is different. But just ignore the mean! lol

ppl on VMK say my game <stinks> but then they come back and if they say it <stinks> again i will ask them to leave with the 5 sec. they have or i will boot them and then soon that day i report that person and then VMK staff or a HOST comes to my room and asks what happens so they i have to close the game and let them in then why i am trying to talk to the staff all the ppl in line are saying come on i want to play today and another person is saying shut up they another 1 saying let us all in now and i am saying no but they still say it so then i let staff sit and 2 ppl in to see how my game is guess what



staff said it was awsome and if it was a weekend i would win best guest room so then staff ban all the ppl that were rude and if i want i could tell yavn that bc i was so nice im his friend so he could get them bandded forever no VMK on any computer in the house or even if u create a new caricter ur caricter will stall be ban nothing they could do to get back on VMK that is why i like yavn as a friend

I feel bad for everyone, these grumpy party-poopers always seem to be more greedy and annoying and they think VMK is about "Taken" and are too thick-headed to be told it isn't. And VMK Staff doesn't care! They don't care people are virtually dating in Disneyland! I think if this keeps up VMK could stop getting more people coming and even lower sales by the mothers and fathers who don't want their kids virtual dating in a seemingly harmless Virtual Disneyland! I think VMK Staff should stop making "Un-winnable Staff Games" to keep us quiet and get more people to stop these people that are making everyone elses day miserable!

I think It was a very nice idea to give out Goofy Hats, and If your tired of all the fighting try to go into a guest room. They are usually considerably better. Just keep out of the Boy meets girl rooms, everyone is grumpy there. Try something well put together like, a CL_ Room, or a nice sounding one like Ice Castle Of Magic. I even go to the Magic shows whenever their available.

:( This is the saddest part about the new VMK, the rudeness of many of the players. I am so sad to hear your stories, I don't get why so many are greedy, and inpolite. You giving away hats, that is wonderful, giving away pins to new players. The both of you are so thoughtful and kind, and you make the game so special. It is so bad on vmk now I rarely go to the common areas, there is always someone there insulting someone else. Again, I just don't get it.

Yeah, I've run across the same situation. Sad but true. I have lots of very nice friends on vmk. I spend my time with them and we all try to help out newbies. It saddens my heart to see the fighting and name calling in vmk. I belive that all this boyfriend/girlfriend stuff should be stopped. VMK is not the place for that. This is a game where alot of the players are just little kids. Giggle, I guess I'm one of them but not to little. I love vmk and I love the friends I have made there. I would hate for vmk to come to an end because of a group of name calling, boyfriend/girlfriend games and such. It's not fair to us who come here to just have fun and to meet good ppl. I love the magic and these ppl have forgotten that magic. It makes me sad. I will continue to try and spread joy and the happiness of vmk to all players. Maybe some of the magic will rub off on them. Thanks for all the support and positive feedback. I'm certainly not going to let yesterdays events keep me from playing VMK or giving away free hats, I will just avoid the common areas. I think I will design a room for my hat give away and see if that works better. I just love the VMK hat's idk why. LOL

The best thing you can do is ignore. I'm not saying stay away form those places because the Si-Fi Date er, I mean Dine in are cool places, just the people that hang out there (most of the time) are into taken and other things that we don't care for. You could just find an empty room if you want to meet up with some friends.

Now I've had lots of experiences that I won't mention here but when you see something like that, just report. The staff will check the chat log and take care of it.

But there are as many good people as there are bad people.

I too will spend lazy days on vmk sometimes, going around and asking "how is your vmk day?" or, "does anyone have any questions about the game?" and will often get no answers. sometimes I'll go to the frontierland dock and sing down by the bay and a few times, people actually joined me (lol) so keep your hopes up and keep on trying to be nice to everyone :)

During The Holidays I noticed all these grumpy and rude people. So I made a little 'test'. I dressed as a new player and asked for help. One girl finally helped me but left quickly because she thought I was stalking her. A new boy helped me and didn't run away. For his kindness I gave him a spacesuit. I went around 'testing' more people and gave a few prizes to those good souls. You have to be patient really. It took me four hours to find that boy and only found prize-worthy people every other day.

It's amazing how many times I have found myself clicking that "report" button these last few weeks. Between the rudeness, bad language, talking about other sites, giving out personal information, it has been getting a workout! The upside of this is almost always I've ended up chatting with some nice people who were also bothered by the nonsense. I guess in the end it's just a balance that needs to be found and right now it's swinging towards the bad side.

The_Bennu_Bird it was very kind of you to give out hats. I have on occasion picked someone out and given them a small something. Usually my recipients have shown more appreciation though. Sorry you had so many rotten people. Glad to hear you're not letting them spoil it for you though. :goofy:

Good for you!!! I realyythink it was nice of you to give things to total strangers, even if they did not appreciate it. I have given some things out to people who are nice and have done some farely lopsided trades for people. I will not reward begging though. I have alot of stuff and don't mind sharing form time to time. I agree that beta was a kinder gentler time for VMK. I have seen so many just mean people and "Sharks" on vmk, it makes me sick. My room rules are that you get one chance, if you are rude or mean a second time it is a boot. To many people forget that this is just a game and that nothing is THAT important in this game.

PS: A shark is a person inflates the value of what they are trading to get you to trade something you have that is valuable for next to nothing. I hope everybody reads the trade boards and gets an idea of what things are worth before trading.
