Just to tell you the original order of the books is this:

1 The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
2 Prince Caspian
3 The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
4 The Silver Chair
5 The Horse and His Boy
6 The Magician's Nephew
7 The Last Battle

Prince caspian is actually the pevensie(sp) children's second trip to narnia. Since Its lewis' family who are doing these, i think they are going by the real order of the books.

I think they 'skipped' it for a time, since they can actually use the 4 kids again, without recasting. I believe that the true timeframe from Lion, Witch,Wardrobe to Caspian is a year/so in London time. So that way the kids don't grow up so fast.

I think they also skipped the Magician's Nephew because, so many people are familiar with Lion, Witch, Wardrobe.

Hate to break it to you. But the order posted above is the order that C. S. Lewis wrote them and released them in.

this is the right order i have the older series numbered by c.s.lewis anyways i dont think directors would skip books because then some would not make sence

cue5c is correct. The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe was the first book to be written, The Magician's Nephew Was written later. I say also that they will go in the order of the books released.

Thx for backing me up everyone, horse and his boy does somewhat have to do with the pevensies, Queen Susan, King Edmund, and Queen Lucy are all in it.(for a short time)

cocacute, I agree with laurrenabby1996. The Horse and His Boy and the Magician's Nephew have to do with Narnia, but are nowhere near related to the other four characters (Lucy, Peter, Susan, cant remember the other one) Plus I found that the Magician's Nephew and the Horse and His Boy were REALLY boring.

A Boy and his horse was skipped because that story is more of like an egyptian folk tale about a boy with an mean father, who escapes and finds a princess yadyada.. and the kids would only be in the movie for about 5 maybe 10 minutes. And the lion, probably 3. I dont think it even takes place in Narnia. The audience is used to the storyline of the children and the lion and Narnia, and the fourth would smoothly connect the series. The magician's nephew is a prequel, talking about the creation of Narnia. The kids are not in that either.
