Article: Walt Disney Records' ``High School Musical'' Soundtrack #1 on Billboard's Top 200 Walt Disney Records' soundtrack to the blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie "High School Musical" is #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart after scanning 100,967 units for the week of February 26. With over 1.2 million units shipped to-date, the RIAA is expected to certify the soundtrack platinum next week. In addition to its new top position, the "High School Musical" soundtrack has held the #1 spot on the Billboard Kids Chart for six consecutive weeks and returned to the #1 position on the Billboard Soundtrack Chart (a position it has held for three of the past five weeks). The single "Breaking Free" also is newly platinum and one additional single -- "Get'cha Head in the Game" -- is now gold. A total of four "High School Musical" tracks are on this week's Billboard Hot 100. Thus far, over 900,232 single tracks from the "High School Musical" soundtrack have been purchased digitally. Album sales represent 15% of soundtrack sales-to-date and were purchased primarily through iTunes Music Store. On Tuesday, February 28, three music videos became available for sale on iTunes Music Store ($1.99 each). Music videos from "High School Musical" also are in rotation on Disney Channel. The platinum single "Breaking Free" set records since its second week on the charts. On January 31, "Breaking Free" catapulted from #86 to #4, making the largest jump in the 48-year history of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. The song's #4 position also made it Walt Disney Records' highest-ranked Hot 100 song in the label's 50-year history. The gold single "Get'cha Head in the Game" also broke a 34-year-old Billboard record by soaring from #100 to #28 -- the largest jump ever from the anchor position. "High School Musical," a contemporary musical comedy, has aired seven times (January 20-February 28) on Disney Channel. In its first six telecasts, it delivered 26.3 unduplicated Total Viewers, 8.4 million Kids 6-11 and 8.7 million Tweens 9-14.
