With a curious mind, I applied for community leader a day early. I got the E-Mail confirmation message and I checked my inbox. I recieved the message and this is what I found:

Hi there!

Thanks for taking the time to fill out the Community Leader application
form. We're sorry, but we're not accepting any new applications at the
moment.

We'll be accepting applications again sometime after April 1st onwards,
so please try again then.

Just Great Another Month

I feel like alot of people who applied in the December time, like I do not know, Dec. 1st ( like me ) and have not gotten a reply back. I am just guessing, but maybe they need more time to finish there older applications before they get swamped with the new ones. And I noticed, April Fools Day just popped into my head when i saw that day lol. Sorry for the off topic in the last sentence lol ;)

VMK Babs said that applications were used to fill vacancies in the order they were received. This means that until all of the previous applications are made leaders or denied there cannot be new people being made leaders.

Staff always tries to be fair and not hurt people. I know i sometimes snarl otherwise. So be thankful they are letting you know.

People if you really wanted to become a true community leader, you would be patient and just wait. I know most of you are disapointed, but a month will just zoom by.

How can you already have it filled out if the questions are different each time?

Everyone, they did this for a good reason so DON'T GET MAD.
We really have enough leaders, and even if you are a leader there is nothing special about it. We have no speical privlages, no special things to wear or furniture, nothing special. We are just trusted to help out players and others will listen to us because we went through the questions.

I filled out application october of 2005, and still nothing after confirmations of sent items way back then! will they let people know if they are denied CL? just wondering? i kind of gave up on the CL thing a long time ago. do they ever reply to mail?!? not mine!:CastMem:

OK, so hang on: I just sent in my application. I have automatic e-mail alerts, and yet have not received an e-mail from VMK. So what exactly does this mean? Does it mean that once I do get the e-mail it'll tell me to wait until April 1st?

Oh, well luckily I have not sent in an application yet :) But really, if you think about it, there are negatives about being a community leader. I mean, people will constantly want to trade with you just because you have CL in front of your name... :(

But peope look up to you when your a CL, like how they look up to staff. When you go into a room everyones like, "Hi CL_....!" Soem epopel out there have as much knowledge as CLs, but are not reconzied at all. Plus, i think it makes it a little funner getting asked questions, and it feels good helping other players in need. You know what i mean, right?

But guess what? If half of VMK applys on march first, then they will say wait until april. its the earlier people who will get it. If you applyed in december (like me) then if you applyed right when they said the would start accepeting NEW ONES.

We've known that ever since we first had community leaders. Most people want the job so they could be "popular" or "cool", just becuase your a CL, it doesnt mean your different and most people won't treat you differently.

The CL's who dont do anything should get the title taken away, there are alot of CL's who work hard to help people. And there are some who dont do anything at all.

I have applied December 1st and am waiting for a reply. I understand what babs is saying. I have seen CLs who hav used the title to trick players.

This is great for me! I know a bunch about VMK.

Why do I want to be a community leader? Well, I will say one thing, you can help more people and in more ways as a CL_, such as helping in vmk events and helping in host events, and you may want to help as a vmk regular player, but not many ppl will ask and that is all I will say ;)

If you sent it on December 1st you should have recieved it... if you have AOL then you cannot recieve a reply and you should try a different way or a free Yahoo.. thats what I did.

Yeah, I recently figured out AOL does not work. I used yahho instead, you can contact vmk and tell them that if you sent in an application to switch the e-mail for it, that way you get a reply. :)

Im sorry for all the trouble with your accounts but i really doubt staff have been on your account they would never do something like that they are here to help us and keep the game safe not ruin it by going on your account. Maybe if you have a sibling or friend or cousin that knows your information maybe they have been getting on but just don't think it was a staff ok they wouldn't do that to you.
