Best out of all them...

The first one looks almost like the Wilderness lodge. Notice a small waterfall trickling into a pool?

Unfortunately, it is a Californian hotel.

Beach Club!! Woot. The beach club is probably the best hotel at WDW. My question is, why re-release the Polynesian pin and Grand Californian?

In Jamuary, they released the Disneyland pins. I highly doubt that they would rerelease these pins so quickly, if they even were going to re-release the pins at all! I am thinking that they are the WDW pins, as most of these do look like disney pins.

Maybe they'll re-release the Grand Californian pin in a staff game again...

It seemed to me that there were a lot more chances to get the Footprint Everest pin than the Grand Californian, so maybe they're giving everyone another chance?

yes i know this is posted but i thought i could post a pic of them. (i am going to get the contemporary(sp?) lol)The photo of the 5 pins represents:

Top left: Grand Californian at the Disneyland Resort in CA (Paradise Pier is in the background)
Top right: Disney's Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World (the monorail is also a giveaway)
Bottom Left: HKDL Hollywood Hotel (notice the tall hill in the background, in all the other Disney Parks, there are no tall hills nearby except HKDL)
Bottom Middle: Disney's Polynesian Resort at Walt Disney World (The only Disney Resort of its architecture and the monorail)
Bottom Right: Disneyland Hotel at the Disneyland Resort in CA (The sorcerer's hat is the entry way from Downtown Disney and the Pirate ship is from the hotel's main pool)

I like the pins don't get me wrong but what do they have to do with Villians month?!?!? Why not villians pins? I'm sure they could do that. Let's see, there could be an Ursula, Scar, Zurg, Gaston, Monstro, Hook, Old Hag, Malificient-not as a dragon, Oogie boogie, King John, Stepmother, the list could go on.....

Contemporary! My favorite Magic Kingdom resort!

I can't wait for the Contemporary Pin. It's been one of my favorite resorts for a LONG time!

There are no tall hills in the entire state of florida! Unless of course you count Garbage Mountain..

The background of the first pin is that of DCA but the hotel has only one water feature which is the swimming pool. They may have change but not that I recall and the Sun Wheel is southeast of the hotel and to face the hotel you would have your back to the Sun Wheel.

These obviously are Disney artist rendering and do not reflect the real hotels necessarily.

Yes, you can see the Golden Sun Ferris Wheel, Grizzly Mountain, and a hang glider from Soarin Over California. I really hope there is a new staff exclusive pin, I reall enjoyed the Grand pin!

Schmoofy what I am saying is that you have to look south with you back to Disneyland. If you did this you would either be in one of 3 places.

1. In downtown Disney shopping area which does not look this way.
2. In the area as you walk in from downtown Disney which is rather small.
3. standing with your back to the hotel.

I do not remember the hotel ever having these water features but it has been a while.

Beach Club!! Woot. The beach club is probably the best hotel at WDW. My question is, why re-release the Polynesian pin and Grand Californian?Exactly, I mean why the Grand? The Grand Californian was supposed to be kinda rare and I got two of them, maybe they'll give them away at the staff game again insted of in stores.

Contemporary! My favorite Magic Kingdom resort!

I can't wait for the Contemporary Pin. It's been one of my favorite resorts for a LONG time!
Ah yes, the Contemporary, the monorail always goes through it to pick up people going to WDW. We would wave at the people below, on the floor.

Maybe they'll re-release the Grand Californian pin in a staff game again...

It seemed to me that there were a lot more chances to get the Footprint Everest pin than the Grand Californian, so maybe they're giving everyone another chance?
Actually, I thought it was harder to get the Footprint because back when you could get the Grand, they didn't have the "50 people in the line" thing, but when the Footprint came out they had it, making it harder to get in.

Yeah, that's kind of a bummer, as I bought two of each of the last pins that came out to keep for trading. Looks like they won't be worth too much now :\

Anyone know if there's a chance of them putting out a Grand Floridian pin? That's the only resort I've stayed at at a Disney park, so having a pin of it would be something really special for me.

Here's the new ones that we know of or revealed to us so far.

Released this weekend (mislabeled as "Hollywood Hotel")
Hotel MiraCosta (Tokyo Disney Resort)

The one obtained by trading in the official HOST_ trading room
Grand Floridian Resort (Walt Disney World)

The new ones displayed in the newsletter:
Disneyland Hotel (Disneyland Resort Anaheim)
Hollywood Hotel (Hong Kong Disneyland)
Disney's Contemporary Resort (Walt Disney World)

Anyone know if there's a chance of them putting out a Grand Floridian pin? That's the only resort I've stayed at at a Disney park, so having a pin of it would be something really special for me.
Yes, one has been released. However, look on the calendar (http://vmk.disney.go.com/vmk/en_US/community/index?name=CalendarPage) for any official HOST_****** Trading Room events on the weekends and search for them under Guest Rooms on that time period. If there's a queue limit, keep on trying to access the wait line for that room.

So you're saying Disney copied the Wilderness lodge from Walt Disney World, and brought it over to Disneyland with a different name?...

So you're saying Disney copied the Wilderness lodge from Walt Disney World, and brought it over to Disneyland with a different name?...Though by quick glance it may seem that the two resorts are the same. However, they come from two separate achitectural styles. The Wilderness Lodge is modeled after architecture found in the Pacific Northwest.

The Grand Californian is modeled after the Gamble House in Pasadena, which its architecture reflects California's turn of the century Arts and crafts movement. Its architecture can actually be considered pieces of artwork in itself because of the ornate designs found throughout the features of the house and at DCA, the Grand Californian Hotel.

If you like to see an example of this style of architecture, this is the site for the Gamble House and you'll see many similarities between the Grand Californian and the architecture of this house:

i stayed at the wilderness lodge, and it's way differet from the grand californian. Inside you'll find totem poles, rustic settings and a small geyser out near the pool. Much different from the grand californian.
