This is a guide dedicated to those who need help with the Haunted Mansion Game, especially those who can't seem to pass the quests because you can't get the amount needed. :)

Object of Game:

The object of the game is to catch ghosts that come out of coffins of your color, either green or purple, and to avoid ghosts of the other color. If touched by the ghost of the opponents color, you will temporarily become a ghost yourself and can be caught. After the opponent catches your ghost form, you will become human again. By catching the opponent in ghost form, you get double the points (2 points). The scores are kept at the bottom of the game. When the first round ends, the players must search through a series of doors to find which door leads to the next level. At the same time, players must avoid three blue ghosts which can make your character disappear until the next round starts. If one of your team members finds the correct door, the door color will change to the team color (For example, if you’re on green and a green teammate finds the correct door, the door will turn green). If the opponent finds the door first, the color will change on the opponents screen, but not yours. Depending on how many of your teammates got to the correct door, the team who had the most players enter the correct door get a 5 second head start next round. When the second round finishes and your team had the most wins in the first 2 rounds, the most being 2 wins, you win the game. Likewise, if the opponent gets the most wins, they win the game. If both teams got 1 win during the first 2 rounds, a third round is launched to determine the winner. If there is a third round and both teams have the same score when time runs out, they play a 5 second sudden death where they catch a few more ghosts. If they still have same score at the end of the sudden death, the game is declared a draw.

Scoring:

For Winners: Winners receive an extra 50 credits for each win and they receive 5 credits for each ghost caught. After 10 consecutive wins they receive an extra 500 credits; after 20 or 30 consecutive wins, the winner receives 2500 credits (I only know the extra amount for 20 or 30 because that is how far I am).

For Losers: Losers only receive 5 credits for each ghost they have caught. After losing 5 or 10 consecutive times, they receive a bonus amount of credits for trying (I forgot what amount you get for losing like that because I haven’t lost in a while). I believe a losing 5 or 10 times bonus is only given one time a day.

Tips:

1. Getting caught by a ghost is not always bad. If you need to get through a “wall” of ghosts that are not your color and your opponent is far from you, being a ghost momentarily is not that bad as long as it is for a reason.

2. Staying close to your opponent is a good option if you are about to be surrounded by ghosts that are not your color. By being near your opponent, ghosts of the other color will flee from your opponent (which will keep you safe as long as you are near him).

3. Stay away from corners! If you stay near corners, ghosts of another color will catch you even easier because you have nowhere to move to.

4. Stay away from ghosts of the opposite color! This really does not need explaining.

5. Shake coffins to make ghosts come out when necessary. If you see that there are only 5 or less ghosts of your color and 10 or more ghosts of the other color, this would be a good chance to try your luck at shaking coffins.

6. When shaking coffins, move away far enough to avoid being touched by a ghosts that might pop out of the opposite color, but close enough to catch it if it is of your color.

7. There are things to keep in mind when beginning a game of Haunted Mansion, such as the number of players on each team. The teams with the lesser number of players are likely to get more ghosts of their color on the playing field.

8. Keep in mind the time left. When the last 5 seconds of the round start, it is best to get prepared to race to the nearest door.

9. Split the playing field evenly. For example, if there are 2 players, 1 of them could stay on the upper part of the field, and the other in the bottom portion. From there, players can switch between upper and lower if necessary.

10. Be fair to your teammates! If a teammate is about to catch a ghost, let him have it. Keep in mind your part of the playing field, not your teammates. If by any chance you need help, tell your teammate; then would be the appropriate time to take action on his side of the field.

also, i've noticed you don't get any extra credits for when you catch an oppenet that has been turned into a ghost. So sometimes the amount of credits you receive is less then 5x the amount of points you captured.

How do you shake coffins...? I thought they shook on their own!

Thank you for adding this to my post, I forgot to. If anybody else would like to post some tips or reminders, go ahead. Bad language will not be tolerated.

Press control or shift while you face a coffin. Sometimes they shake on their own too.

Your Welcome, and here's another one: the hall of fame scores depend on the amount of games you have won, not the amount of ghosts you caught in one game.

Bump! Hopefully this can be read by players who need help on their quests on the tasks in which you need to get ghosts!
