As I have been approaching the 1000 post milestone (granted, the majority of my posts at this point are probably to the effect of "follow the rules!" :)), I have been trying to think of some ways to make it a little extra special. I have a few ideas for what I might write about, but before I do I thought I'd give you all a chance to suggest some possible topics for my 1000th post. I can't guarantee I'll use any or all of your suggestions, but if I like the suggestion I may decide to use it for my 1000th post or even my subsequent posts. If I do, I'll give you credit, of course. ;)

So, any ideas? Would you like an essay on world peace? A list of my favorite things? Some user-created artwork (no Wynsome, I'm not posting THAT)? Be creative, and have fun. :D

hmm i was thinking about say maybe a celebration post? or a prize post? umm.... i have ideas but cant think of them right now. A 100 post club thread where u list everyone who has 100 posts? (Ialready know who because when i saw u nearing closer i looked)

I think "A day in the VMK Life of Mr.Genie"! Give us a glimpse of what goes on in a typical VMK day for one of our most storied members with screenshots and cameos by other VMK Fansite members. Then at the end, announce a new Mr.Genie game room!

Ideas:

1) Make a 1000 posts club for people who have 1000+ posts :D

2) Have a game and give away prizes on VMK.

3) Have a first ever official VMK Forums *Event*

But I remember when you were mad at some other people for making these threads as well...Heh...as you are now the second Mod to comment on this, let me try to publicly explain myself (and yes, I went and deleted one of my old old posts to make room for this post and not push me over the limit yet ;))...

The few post count threads I have commented on contained no actual content, other than to draw attention to the milestone. Thus, I think they qualify as spam. My recommended solution to these people is to make an on-topic post somewhere, achieve the milestone, and then go back and edit your post to say "w00t! ###th post!" or something at the bottom.

In contrast, here I am deliberately not making the content of my milestone post about the milestone itself. Instead, I am soliciting ideas for actual content that will be interesting to people. The milestone is really incidental to the topic at hand...I'm just using it as an excuse to see what people might really want me to write about. Ultimately, my intention is to provide some unique, entertaining content here and just using my 1000th post count as a novel time to do it.

At any rate, I appreciate your attempt to keep me honest and point out any possible hypocrisy on my part. As I told GreatGatsby, yes, I live in a glass house on the forum, and yes, I like to throw stones, but I always try to open the window first. :D I hope my explanation better illuminates my situation and why I don't feel like I am spamming with this thread.
