Today I was crusing through the VMK guest rooms, having fun, talking to people, and then i saw it. The first VMK "Black and Proud Room". I said to myself, "I wonder what this room is about." So i promptly entered the room, and sat down. Apparently, it was an club for people of African-American descent. I didn't know whether to be impressed that this new club or offended about the racial divide that this room builds. VMK is all for equality, but this is another room that should not be allowed. I understand that it does not directly violate the VMK Ten Commandments (The VMK Values), but it does not seem appropriate to have a room based on race.

I agree...and you know, if someone created a "White and Proud" room, they would probably get in trouble for discriminating......

i believe this would file under racism, which is against vmk rules, but as long as they aren't negative to people of other races that enter, it may / may not be fine... anyway, no one will know, as long as your character is african-american...

Whoa, whoa, whoa. I NEVER suggested banning people for these rooms. I just want VMK to not allow these rooms to further in their existance. Basically, get rid of the rooms, and give those people a warning or something. So they at least learn a lesson not to offend people.

yeah, im saying that VMK is powerless, because people will always find away around it, and VMK's only option would be to ban, which would be suicidal to vmk... so there is nothing they can do...

Maybe it's just me but was there some be fight with "Black" people and "White" people ect. ect. that I didn't hear about?

But anyways I think it's good that they are proud to be "Black" I mean "Black" and "White" people ect. ect. are all fine to me I mean they are all people but this room is kinda not vary nice to those other race... BUT! thats just me...

it seems there will never be and end to rasicm well a total end there will always be some people who stilll hate the other race and can't forgive them for what they did. In vmk or not there will be that one person which is sad that we can rise above that.............. yeah I know that was a little emotional lol but true I think

You can say black and white because they are colors (shades but you know).. just like red, green, and blue.. but you cant say pink.

I totally agree.

I do not want to offened anyone but I don't think that is right sure people should be proud of what race they are but I do not think that the way they are doing this the right way! I would love to know who started this room however it is not my job toworry about that!

YOur right it does not Violate any rules but VMK is for everyone and everyone is proud of there collture so it is a bit racist but not much. People need to remeber other people may get offened easily and young childern go on VMK to.

Hey, hey, when I first went into this "Black and Proud Room" with my friend, they were threatening to boot us out because we are white. The only reason we weren't kicked out of the room right away was because the owner wasn't there at that moment. What kind of lesson is that?? "I see that you are different, so I want to boot you????" :rolleyes:

definately against rules... theycant descriminate each other by what army ther are in anymore, so of course they do the next best and most realistic thing...

Dude, thats SUPER rude!I can't STAND people like that! I mean, could understand if the girl was like "Hey that kid is green lol!" or "Hey that kid is magenta lol!", but to comment when the kid is probably black in RL? Thats unacceptable..

Am I racist or not? I mean you can call me racist or whatever but I do make opinions about people by there race. however they change as I get to know them like for instance about 99% of the mexicans at my school are jerks but that doesn't mean to me that all mexicans are jerks just to not get in there way until I know they are nice. On topic I don't see what's wrong as long as they don't say stuff like: White people are idiots mexicans are dirty piles of filth. ( note I do not believe any of this it's an example)

Sorry you feel excluded, but black folks have had to feel excluded for decades. As long as they aren't saying racist things to kids of other colors, what's the big deal?

they where saying racist things that is why I am offened I thought people explained this ? they boot people because there white racist talk about different color people and say mean things like I don't like them kind of people so they where racist they said racist stuff

i went in one of those because one of my friends were in there and all they were doing in there was sitting, not talking, nothing... they didn't even notice me at the door lol
