A cast member just told me they're starting a new Quest prize at Disneyland starting today. She said anybody who finishes the DLR VMK quests and turns them in at the VMK stand at Innoventions gets two fastpasses for two rides (four total). She told us the passes were for Buzz Lightyear, Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, The Autopia and Roger Rabbit.

She also told me the fastpasses will be like the normal fastpasses and that the time on them will be the time on the fastpasses given out at the ride at the same time. But that means you can still get fastpasses for other rides without waiting (but just not for the rides you choose at VMK Central). I think she said if you already have fastpasses for the rides you choose at VMK Central, you'll still get two passes for that ride; you just can't get more fastpasses for the two rides you choose at VMK Central until the VMK ones expire.

Beginning February 14, Guests who complete four (4) Virtual Magic Kingdom (VMK) quests will receive a VMK FASTPASS® ticket for them and one (1) additional Guest to two (2) of the following attractions:

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters*
Indiana Jones™ Adventure
Space Mountain
Autopia
Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin

VMK FASTPASS® tickets will be awarded at VMK Central in front of Innoventions and are issued for the attraction's current return time. Tickets are distributed in addition to the Guest's regularly allotted number of single FASTPASS® tickets at a time (or two hours since the last ticket was issued). If a Guest receives a VMK FASTPASS® ticket at VMK Central for an attraction, the Guest will not be able to receive another FASTPASS® ticket for that attraction until the VMK FASTPASS® time has expired.

VMK is a free online multi-player game that allows Guest to experience the magic of Disney Theme Parks from home. VMK Quests are trivia scavenger hunts that Guests can do at Disneyland® Park to earn virtual rewards in the game. Three quests are available at VMK Central in front of Innoventions and Guests can print an additional quest at home and bring it with them to play at Disneyland® Park.

Why would I waste my time doing all four quests, get a VMK fastpass that has the same return time as a regular fastpass... when I can just walk over to the ride and put my ticket in and get a regular fastpass with the exact same privileges...

And what about those families who go to Disney with a large amount of people... Only TWO VMK fastpasses, are not going to work for them... they're going to have to walk over to the attraction and get the regular fastpass for the attraction anyways...

Overall it seems like a big waste of time, and a big waste of paper...

Disney was not thinking while making this reward...

It sounds like it would allow you to hold two fastpasses at a time, i.e. I could have a Fastpass i went and got myself for Buzz and get one from VMK for Space Mountain.

If a family was doing it they could just give the VMK CM their tickets two and get enough fastpasses for everyone.

I think it's a nice addition and helps to make up for some of the time you may have to spend doing the quests rather than going on attractions.

lol new prizes. most people who go to disneyland and do the quests and know about vmk have passes or go a lot so we dont care about rides lol.

So nothing includes VMK prizes..According to someone on the game last night, you still get the quest prizes. The fastpasses are extras in case you get all the quests right - just like the tours were.

It looks like the fastpasses just take place of the tours.

I think they've either cut or reallocated the budget. I can't tell which.

Who needs some stinkin fastpasses during dead season? Keep your fastpasses and give me an extra set of cards ;)

I hope this is just a transition to some possible new quests they may be planning. FastPasses seem kind useless during this off-season except on a Saturday, especially when Space Mountain sometimes has hardly no wait in the middle of the day (10a-8p weekday hours).

I would really prefer VMK stuff for doing the VMK Quests. I don't need or want fastpasses!

Wow. My mom thought this was good idea..but not sure for me. I do wish they would give out VMK Prizes though. :D

Went to the park yesterday, and I guess I got jipped! LOL I only got 1 set of fastpasses for each of our tickets, looks like we are supposed to get 2 sets, but oh well :)

it lets you make your line go shoter so you dont have wait so so so so long

i just went to disney yestarday u were right I tricked vmk ppl and got too quest packs and fast passes in a day!!

I went yesturday and I was able to hold four fast passes at a time thanks to VMK. It also helps if you go with other ppl cause you say they did it too and you get double triple or even quadroople sets of cards.
