Just to beat this into the ground, the four time zones are Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific. During the portion of the year when Daylight Savings Time is not in effect, these four time zones are abbreviated EST, CST, MST, and PST...where "ST" stands for "Standard Time." During Daylight Savings Time, these abbreviations change to EDT, CDT, MDT, and PDT, where the "D" represents "Daylight" instead of "Standard" time.
