Yes, I used the term smart, as opposed to smarter. Lol.
I've been playing pirates all day now, and I'm beginning to think PirateShip is beginning to learn Basic Naval Combat 101. Let's compare past to present, shall we?
Before:
Pirates did not move often, sitting ducks.
took a defensive position every game
Did not work as team
Shots were inaccurate and often did not take into consideration target was moving
Mental capacity of a small rock
Both:
Easy to defeat
Does not move when shooting
Does not use ghost
After
Pirates sometims box in a player. Suggests beginnings of squad-based AI?
Pirates dodge cannons like crazy. Fast little buggers, they are.
Shots sometimes lead player, ambushes are sometime set up
Pirate ships sometimes disorganize formation at start of game, leaving "snipers" to find another strategy
Pirate ships sometimes sail in formation. More squad-based AI?
One pirate ship even "sniped" my team as the game started without provocation. Suggests beginning of offensive AI?
Hoards Powerups
Mental Capacity of a big rock
afterthoughts: Maybe "Everest Month" Ice cube event is also intended to showcase/test/get feedback to improve upon for new pirate AI?
Thank you for listening to another crazy theory from LordIllidan
Edit: Asides from increased firing rate and possible consiousness of the effects of moonlight, Level 2 AI seems to be the same. If anyone would like to test the level 1 AI, that would be nice :)
