lol wow this is amazing. If you look on imdb they are already filming Pirates 3! It has the original cast in it. They must expect 2 to be as good or even better than the first one to be willing to make a third.

They are filming parts of it at Universal Studios in Hollywood. I have seen the sets.

You get to see part of the sets on the Tram Tour.
They are filming part 2 and 3 at the same time.

I liked the first one, because of the action, humor, storyline, and how it relates to the ride. I hope the next two will impress me as the first movie did.

Dead Man's Chest looks pretty good right now when I saw the preview, and I hope the third will also be the same.

Yes, there will be a third movie, and recently we've heard word that there could possibly end up being a fourth movie as well.

There are three working titles for Potc3:

World's End
Uncharted Waters
Calypso's Fury

As of right now, the script for PotC3 is NOT complete; we just got word on that from Terry Rossio over on his and Ted Elliott's official website/forum.

However, they have indeed filmed *some* scenes for PotC3 while filming for Dead Man's Chest; they did so because they figured they'd save time and money by filming ALL scenes that were at a particular location so they wouldn't have to go back later to film just for PotC3.

You can read more information that I posted here:

Yes, it is also like the Lord of the Rings Movies, they shot them all around they same time, that is why they were all released not too long after the other.

Back to the Future II and III were filmed simultaneously as well.

Doing it that way really helps save money; the PotC sequels are around $144 million each in budget. That's $288 mil total. PotC2 alone is expected to make it past $300 mil, so whatever PotC3 will make (which will be a lot, too), it'll be mostly all profit. And that's just domestic take. Worldwide, who knows how much the movies could take in.

Since they were filiming the movie simultaniously.. perhaps this means POTC 3 might be closely related to POTC 2.... Davy Jones might play a good part...

Yes, in fact, PotC2 ends in a cliffhanger that will be resolved in PotC3. The idea is that all three movies are really just three parts of an overall arc, much like with Lord of the Rings. So people we meet, places we went, things we saw and learned in the first movie will reappear with greater significance in the sequels.

They filmed PotC2 and 3 at the same time.

Johnny Depp, Keira Knightly, Orlando Bloom, and some others all signed on for 2 and 3 a little after the original came out.

Well, filming -- yes. Not filmed. They're not completely finished with PotC2, and the bulk of PotC3 is yet to be filmed (as well as... the script for PotC3 is not yet finished--the Two T's mentioned that on their website).
