Its a visiter that came from another town, or it could be a person from your town. When its winter, you'll see some igloos. Its just like a regular house, u can go in and talk to the person

This is my experience from the GC version, but I think this applies to DS as well:

Black tent with a fox out front, and a sign that says Black Market (with the word "Black" crossed out): This is Crazy Redd's shop. He sells furniture at absurd prices. Usually it's all junk, but he sometimes has rare stuff and NES games. If you buy all 3 pieces of furniture in there, leave the acre and come back, and he should have a new shipment of stuff.

Purple Tent with a drapery entrance: Katrina's Tent. Go inside, and Katrina will tell your fortune (Esmeralda wannabe.) Take note of the Triforce symbol on the back wall behind her, it's one of the many hidden references to "Legend of Zelda"

Any other Tent/igloo: A visitor from outside town. Go in and make a new friend. Occasionally they will challenge you to a gambling-esque game where you have to guess things from a story without any clear hints. This is high risk, high/low return. If you lose, they may take all your money/take a random item from you. If you win, they may give you an item (both rare and junk), or give you a large sum of bells.

Hmm, it is none of those. It's green with a yellow thing on top and it is snow covered.

When I click on it it reads:

See, Crazy Redd's ain't your normal high-end furniture store! It's members only! So you gotta prove you're a member and give me the password... You DO know the password, right? Good! i know what this is, it is CRAZY REDDS SHOP for i have this game, if you ask a specific critter they will give you the password no matter how many times you forget, and once you get in there once everytime he comes to town he will send you mail with the pass in it so you can get in it, but you may want to buy insurance from the guy in front of ur house, cuz he could rip you off

well, if you seea otter thing out side your house on saturday, talk to him, if you listen to him long enough u can set the time he can come.

You have to ask the townspeople when he is there, but don't worry, he comes back. His shop is a huge rip off, you pay 3,000 bells to join the club to get the password, then you have to pay for the goods in there, which have high prices.

Lol XD Okie dokie. Once, a ground mole thingy popped up 'cuz i turned my power off without saving because I just turned it on and purchased an item I didn't want! I was like *gasp*

Stop right there! Do not buy them! Some (most) are fake! If you try and donate it to the museum then... well... he was say it's fake. You just got scammed.

How do I get the password to get in to his shop?

Try looking for your neighboors and talk to them. I would suggest talking to your neighboors that are outside near the tent, that's always better.
