Pumpkin_Queen 01-29-2006, 06:52 AM I am going to Disneyland soon.
I was wondering who has been there the most recent.
I want to know what quest items where handed out.
Please help me!
i didnt my family too busy doing work that i cant go the things i have i traded it and some i buy it in ebay because my parents said yes
purplegoddess 01-29-2006, 06:57 AM they are still doing the tomorrowland quest all items
the prize pack has mostly stuff from the jungle cruise in it (the rooms the posters, safari lifestyle collection, hippo rug, explorer rug, the train teleporter, pink nemo chair)
they are out of brarir stones so they are giving away the fantasyland retro pin instead. and they are out of the purple alddin chair, so they are giving out adventureland retro pins instead, and they are also out of the fantasyland quest pins and are giving out graveyard trees instead. all else is the same.

I guess i will be going to the magic shop! lol :)
purplegoddess 01-29-2006, 07:15 AM np! happy to help, (even with my bad spelling. i think it's my bed time!)
oldgrumpy 01-29-2006, 02:37 PM Also, if you head back to critter country, the Pooh Corner's candy shop gives cards red presses with a candy purchase.
I recommend at Butterfinger Brownie!
Hopefully they still have cards.
Definitely try to get park hopper tickets, which allow visiting both Disneyland and California Adventure.
Gold Monster doors are available in the Hollywood Backlot area's Monsters ride, in DCA.
Pumpkin_Queen 01-29-2006, 05:52 PM Thanks to everyone once again!
I do have hopper tickets. I can't wait!
I might go on wednesday, i don't think that there will be many lines but... i did want to see the firework show!
Anyone have a suggestion? Do u think that the park will be to full on a friday?
cptnruthless 01-29-2006, 06:29 PM park probably wont be too bad on friday, its not peak season so you should be good. also, on friday you will have extended hours, so that means more time at disneyland!
DinoVan 01-29-2006, 06:33 PM i am going soon and i know i will do all of the quest's i will probably be on "Small World" filling out the fantasyland quest since my brother will want to go on it another ten times lol
Pumpkin_Queen 01-30-2006, 03:03 AM I am really thinking of trying to go on friday or saturday. I am not sure though :(
MonkeyBoyJoe 01-30-2006, 04:40 AM Having an annual pass and being there almost every afternoon, I can tell you that Mon through Thurs are the least crowded. Most rides will take you only the length of time to walk through then line to get on. Fridays are not too bad right now, but there will be a bit of a wait on the more popular rides. Saturday and Sunday are the busiest with typical 20 minute to 45 minute wait times depending on the ride.
Pumpkin_Queen 01-30-2006, 05:07 AM wow thanx for the detailed info.
I want to see the fireworks 50th show so i think i want to go on friday
:)
Quibbles 01-30-2006, 05:20 AM :( i have never been to DLR DLP or WDW :bawling:
Appleson 01-30-2006, 05:27 AM well, i have one suggestion. if you and your family aren't too big fans of football, go on superbowl sunday. it is practically the BEST day to visit a theme park because it is super empty. that's mostly because people are too busy throwing parties and watching the superbowl. but that's only if you're not planning on watching it.
Caterpillar AEIOU 01-30-2006, 06:02 AM I have to go to Disneyland Monday for a meeting, but it is not in the Parks.
I will try to get over to the park for at least a few minutes though.
If I only have time for one park, I am going to try to get the Monsters Gold Doors, I have plenty of the other stuff.

When I bought candy at Pooh Corner and asked for a penny press card about three weeks ago, the Cast Member was shocked that someone was actually asking and gave me 11 of them. Apparently not very many people have been asking after them in the shops, so they're giving them out by the cartload :). Of course, with the quest items, the Cast Member was very adament about only giving me exactly what I earned, but I didn't go to the Magic Shop, so maybe they'd do the same thing there.
lilcrunchycheetoz 01-30-2006, 06:27 AM I went there on the 28th..so yeah I guess that's recently. :D Not too much to say as I forgot to see if I could still use my Tomorrowland Quest (most likely not..;)) so I was only able to get the regular quests. Though when I got my cards, there were three of them which weren't regular prizes. I had gotten 2 Retro Pins (Adventureland and Fantasyland) and a Haunted Mansion Tree. I'm not sure if they are running out of cards or something, but you never know.
Also I was able to go to the Magic Shop and they did have Magic Mirror Cards for you to get after purchasing a magic trick item. :)
Caterpillar AEIOU 01-30-2006, 06:29 AM I still have my receipt from the Magic Shop from a Few weeks ago. They were out of the Magic Mirror cards, do you think they will givew the card now?
I spent $28.00, on 3 items, do you think they will give me 3?

I spent $28.00, on 3 items, do you think they will give me 3? Its probably going to depend on the cast member there. If you try, remember to ask the cast member very nicely :) and not going around closing time (when its crammed with guests) is probably a good thing too.
love me im awesome 01-30-2006, 06:38 AM if u go on a quest to disneyland and want to get stuff for vmk do u have to buy something for it??????
lilcrunchycheetoz 01-30-2006, 06:41 AM if u go on a quest to disneyland and want to get stuff for vmk do u have to buy something for it??????
No no no. There are the regular three quests: Adventureland Quest, Fantasyland Quest, and Frontierland Quest. But then each park has special stores in the park where you can CHOOSE to buy a certain item from there and recieve a VMK Code Card that redeems your prize such as buying a Gold Ear from any store in Disneyland (or WDW not sure..I'm DLR person ;)) other than Star Trader's Shop and you will get a card for that. Hope that helps a little bit.
From what I know it's only 1 card per purchase.
As far as getting 1 for purchases made on earlier trips, that all depends on the cast members. All I know is the first time I made the trip to get all of the shop cards, I got 1 in each shop not matter how much I bought. Except for the candy shop. Let's just say I filled a room and I still have penny press codes i haven't used yet.
I just went there today for a few hours and it was packed. I stood in line with a friend to get his annual pass and we waited a little over an hour. Good luck and have fun!

WHAT?! Man, you must've found a cast member there that I haven't yet. All the ones I've gotten are stingy. They wouldn't even let me buy a cookie to get it. HAD to be pre-packaged candy.
As for the magic shop, there's two people I know who work there regularly and both are really nice. So I think you might get away with showing them your receipt.
I remember going to one of the hat shops and asking for the card and the lady was like, "Did you buy anything?" And as I was about to say no, she started nodding her head and asked again, "Did you buy anything?" ANd I was like..."Uh....yeah..." And she was like, "Good." And handed me a card. Lol.
Just depends on the cast member.
CaptainCheshire 01-31-2006, 12:58 AM i just got back from disneyland and i can confirm that they are giving bits and pieces of the quests. fortunately the tomorrowland quest is complete.
for finishing all the quests you get: gorilla poster, and the other poster(can't remember right now) pink nemo chair, jungle cruise room, tmr teleporters, and..
