At the foot of a treacherous mountain lies an old abandoned village that is mysteriously beginning to re-populate itself. Ancient businesses and mercantiles are opening once more, but so is the Royal Anandapur Everest Tours Office. Since it was shut down due to the trains and track coming back in several pieces, the inhabitants of Serka Zong fled the town out of fear that a hairy, mountainous beast lurks deep within the darkest caves of Mount Everest. However, the Yeti is long gone, and there is no more need to worry about a fabled monster haunting a mountain.

Or is there? The trains have been repaired, the track reconstructed, and the tea has regrown. In hopes of restoring Serka Zong's economic wealth, the descendants of the original residents of the town have returned and opening the train services once more. But, what is a tea plantation without harvesters? The people of Serka Zong are trying to recruit eight of the finest, bravest people from all over to come and board the feared trains and trekk into the mountain and bring back crates and crates of tea.

Expedition Everest Construction Information

I will be contructing the Station and the Base Camp. That project is underway now. You will first board a train to enter the Base Camp area, and then from then on you will take a train to the mountain itself.

I am signing on now and preparing for today's meeting which will be at 5:30pm EST. All of my plans for today have been completed, so now I can devote the rest of the day to getting everything underway for the competition.

Exactly. I was shocked when I found her in VMK. This was before she had posted on her that she had quit our team. She said that she was on your team now. Very irrisponsible if you ask me.

I wanted to update our thread. I hope that we haven't lost too many people from our team, but it is time for the rest of us to FOCUS. Our leader, Florida_Oranges did sign up our team on time. She posted this information in another part of this forum.

Since we are signed up, we need to be ready for Friday! Let's get our show together and start our trip from Anandapur to "climb Everest" in time...Can we do it? (YES!!) I just wanted to help boost our spirits a little bit... The competition is just days away!

To start smiling, all I had to do was read Florida_Oranges' Everest story at the beginning of this thread. I mean, I don't know of ANY other teams who started their Everest team with as creative a story as that one. Our rides need to live up to that great description, guys.

Today is Tuesday. We have a couple of days left to give us time to play games for extra credits and work on our rides.

:goofy: After reading the Everest rules, I hope everyone has some free time on their schedules to stand in our ride room for a couple of hours. Personally, I plan to make time to make sure that I can be there for awhile.

Have you ever ridden a cast member ride on VMK? They are almost always in their rooms where the ride begins. Let's keep in mind someone has to be at the beginning of our ride at all times in case a judging team shows up. We don't want our ride and credits to go to waste just because we goofed up our VMK time. We can stay in touch with this VMK Forum.

I'll definitely be on VMK the next few days. Team members, please PM me so we can meet up; I'm even willing to team up to play team games like HM or POTC, just let me know.

Personal Room update: I've finished one ride room, and I'm working on another.

I am really really sorry if anyone was getting freaked out because of me, I haven't been able to go on a computer in the last few days. WHEN ARE WE CONNECTING TELEPORTERS??? We are disqualified. Actually, there is no competition for us. We've been disqualified because many of our team members did not stick to their end of the deal.

I don't think FLOranges was going to post this anytime soon, so here's what she PM'ed me. I am dissapointed in those team members (of which I hope I am not one) and would like to track them down so I can hurt them!!! (just kidding all, I get a little excited sometimes :)) NOOOOO!! SOO many credits went down the drain for this porject. Oh well, nothing I can do about it now.

First of all, I'd like to give a personal thanks to all those who were committed to this team and created their ride. You have no idea how much you deserve for giving up your playing time to do this.

Having said that, I am very displeased to confirm that we were disqualified. A list of our team was sent to VMK Staff on February 11th, 2006. Some of our dilligent members set to work, putting all their time, energy, and credits into creating the perfect ride. Once again, I send a personal thanks to all those who did follow through with their end of the deal.

Unfortunately, we were disqualified for a few reasons. Please don't blame >EKB< for everything, but, she did play a large part in our disqualification. >EKB<, I, and the other members, have to say that we are a bit disappointed in you. One, you did not complete your room, and two, you were signed up for multiple teams. The rules stated that a player was only to be on ONE team and were to STAY with that team. Again, she was NOT the only one who was on multiple teams. A few of our members "forgot" that they were already on a team. Also, a few of our team expeditioners "didn't have enough time" to complete their room.

I wish I could repay all of the credits that most of you spent to make your room. I understand that it was a ton of credits, and now, they were spent for nothing. I originally had signed up nine contestants on my team, but, only four of them completed their rooms. I was going to confirm all of this sooner, but I was under a lot of stress trying to work all of this out. I must admit that it was a bit embarrassing to hear staff disqualify our team, and it must be very irritating to all those who did follow through with their duties.

Maybe next time, we can do better.

Thanks for saying that Oranges. Although we did not get to compete, I ended up improving my ride skills and getting a ton of ice cubes :). Thanks everyone who tried hard and completed their rooms. This was a lot of fun for me, and I have made some good friends out of it. Thanks all!

P.S. My ice is now being put to better use :)
